Loon on the lake

Nothing sounds more soothing or heartbreaking at the same time as a loon....I could listen to them call to one another all night long!

    I don't think I have ever seen a photograph of a loon taken closse up.  I, like you, find their calls haunting.  Gerry

    Loons are my favorite birds...  They seem more like angels than birds to me.  They sound it, too..

    Marie, I don't know how a loon sounds, but the photo is beautiful I love the tranquil green look of it...wonderful image!
