Feeling Determined
Hearing ALL IN ALL- CHARMAGN- WJIE 88.5 FM
IRAN AND THEIR NUCLEAR ASPIRATIONS
Okay, now I've heard eveything. Over the weekend we tried to "negotiate" with Iran. Why I'll never know. We have some Persian nut-case who wants to "blow Israel off the map" his words not mine. Let's face it, I'm not sure if we're dealing with Ahmadinejad or his evil twin Ahmadinejerk (please don't ask!) I'm tired of all this liberla tripe and stupidity.
When you try to negotiate with terror-states it tells me it's time for a new Congress and a totally different political direction (not Democratic however. We need to give these political parties a real swift kick the rear. The President needs to keep up the pressure on Iran to stop enriching uranium and keep trying to get them to invest in something else. I've heard too many stupid things done and if the State Department doesn't quit playing political tiddly winks, they're gonna lose the game-nobody needs that.
Perspective is badly needed and hears an idea- read the Scriptures, I & II Kings, I & II Chronicles, I & II Samuel, Ruth, Nehemiah, Ezra, Joshua, Judges, as well as Genesis through Deuteronomy may help as well. Reading the sections about Persia seem to be in order here. They're not thinking about what has happening from a spiritual perspective. If we're not careful, we need to learn to duck, these Persian political leaders have a weird tendency to get very aggravated when they are being told by a country several centuries younger to lighten up. We can't- they're trying to kill us!

Feeling Angry
Hearing Song of Hope- Robbie seay Band-WJIE 88.5 FM
Jesse Jackon, Barack Obama, and the "N"-Word.
Yesterday I was really disappointed that some jerk decided to leak a tape of what Jesse Jackson said on FOXNEWS during his "hot mike" incident. Look people, you can sit there and insult people all you want. I still think that he made an honest mistake. Now had somebody like the deceased Jesse Helms said this, there would've still been an uproar only people'd be looking for his white robes and making fun of some back-woods red-neck racist mentality/
Let me also say that I passionately hate the "N" word myself and even had an embarrassing encounter with it in high school. I was really over the top ticked off and I regret the incident to this day. It's also under the blood of Christ since I repented of the whole thing. We need to realize that the cultural dichotomy is different when white and black use such language.
I don't think either side should, but the MEANING is different in the way we both use the word. The origins are white slave owning people, but there are also things that factor in differently in the African- American community. I really wish that the accursed thing would just go away.
Neither white nor black should be using this idiotic phrase of oppression in the first place I don't care how it comes off for either community. I don't even think the stupid thing is Constitutionally covered. I consider it a curse word, especially because of the origins of it.
I will say this, we've come a long way from the days of massive race riots and so forth, but let's give respect where respect is due on either side please. This election year has been fraught with all kinds of disappointment for me and I really wish we'd get the heck over it. Last night, I almost was put in tears over it myself- never mind the panel member on The View- I'm frankly tired of hate groups using it, I'm definitely tired of politicians egging it on, and I can't stand it when I hear African-American young people using it.
There should be a election rule that addresses this issue about racially charged language issue. I get the impression there should be a proviso where if a candidate uses it, they owe the other candidate an apology and the price of their next political ad sort of a political cussing jar concept. Maybe they'll quit doing this ind of baloney.
I'll say it this way- Martin Luther King Jr. and your parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents didn't get their heads smashed in and so-forth just so you kids could go around and call yourselves that. You are beautifully black and be proud of it, don't tear each other down even if it's meant affectionately. It's confusing for the white folks because we get time in the Federal pen for it if we use it. Let's put the "N" word where it belongs- right back in the pit of Hell where it came from. Why repeat something Satan spawned- YUCK!

Feeling Cynical
Hearing How Can I Sing- Chris Tomlin-WJIE 88.5 FM
Member of the House of Representatives in Hot Water Over Video Blog
Now I've heard everything, for those of you out there who are Internet-philes, this ought to get you calling your member of the House of Representatives. A Texas Representative is in hot water over his video blog and the House is trying to shut him down and shut him up. He uses www.qik.com to post the blog that really gives his own constituents a bird's eye view of what goes on in the House.
The leadership is screaming that it violates the House Rules. Here's something to bear in mind here- there is not listed a "no-blogging rule" as far as I'm concerned, it like the Communist Party complaining that they no longer have sole control over the newspaper Pravda or Izvestiya GET REAL NANCY!
I've never heard such political tripe in all my life. I'm guessing that Ms. Pelosi is just upset because she can no longer CONTROL the broadcast of the proceedings of the House. I'm not saying it should interfere with this guy's day-to-day work, if it's doing that then stop, they're complaining about ads and political campaign ads etc. Frankly, I didn't see the problem.
There are also questions about other ads showing up on these blog casts. I think people are over-reacting. Members of the House of Representatives are concerned about privacy as well I guess. I understand that especially in light of the incidents with Trent Lott a few years ago in the cloak room. But the proceedings on the House floor? THAT'S PUBLIC DOMAIN ANYWAY- especially since C-SPAN broadcasts it anyway. So what gives? I imagine people were just as upset over the fact that Benjamin Franklin ran the Pennsylvania Gazette, need I say anymore?

Feeling Ashamed
Hearing Find Me Tonight- Everyay Sunday- WJIE 88.5 FM
Hostile American Civilians Attack Members of the Military
I just watched the most heart-breaking story on FOXNEWS. I appeal to the public in and around military bases, please if you see somebody harming any military personnel, in uniform call 911 and or military police!
Our guys are being targeted by criminals and violent individuals. Also they are being targeted by protest groups like Code Pink. Please, if you are a war protester remember these young men are fighting so you can even protest. At least respect that. If you see anybody trying to harm these young people don't turn a blind eye and a deaf ear, they are somebody's brother, father, son, friend, husband, boyfrined, fiancee, sister, mother, friend, wife, girlfriend, etc.
Ask yourself what you would do if they were blood family. If you are a Christian and you disagree, bear this in mind, they are trying to prevent us from becoming an Islamic nation. To those of you who are Muslim, I don't hold you in contempt at all. Just understand that I was watching the attacks on 9/11/2001 and I didn't like what I saw.
I ask everybody who reads this web log to pray for the safety of our young people in the military state-side or overseas. This is an absolute travesty! God protect us and God save us if we forget where our roots are and what our freedom is all about. Remember, that is what Bin Laden hates the most- our freedom. The very thing that makes America what she is- so even when you are protesting the war, do it respectfully please.

Dear ONE Member,
The Financial Times ran an article yesterday with a lead that could hardly be more alarming: "Leaders of the Group of Eight rich nations are set to backtrack on their landmark pledge at the Gleneagles summit in 2005 to increase development aid to Africa to $25bn a year."
It is astonishing that there is even debate within the G8 as to whether or not they should keep their promises. But the fact that there is a debate adds urgency to our call to the G8 to deliver on their commitments.
Tell the G8 to follow through on their promises, click below to sign our petition: http://www.one.org/2008g8/o.pl?id=390-2935000-GVCZTox&t=2
Petition text:
We call upon you to build on recent success in fighting extreme poverty by delivering your commitments on healthcare, agriculture and education and by helping citizens in developing countries in their efforts to improve governance and fight corruption.
This potential reversal comes at a time when we are seeing results from investments in development. For example, thanks to distribution of bed nets and increased access to anti-malarial drugs, in Rwanda both deaths and cases of malaria have dropped by two-thirds since mid-2006.
As malaria still kills around one million people a year, it is clear that we must replicate success stories like this. But it won’t happen if the G8 backtrack on their commitments.
Please tell the G8 leaders that aid works and is desperately needed: http://www.one.org/2008g8/o.pl?id=390-2935000-GVCZTox&t=3
Thank you for your voice,
Josh Peck, ONE.org

Hearing You Reign-MercyMe! WJIE 88.5 FM
A Personal Note: Don't Ever Get Social Security Disability Insurance, Get your Own Policy!
I speak from experience my husband and I are going through something pretty aggravating. We are both disabled. Dennis has Cerebral Palsy and is over 50% blind and I have learning differences and a social disability along with the fact that my eyesight doesn't allow me to drive. Here's why I say what I do:
Me: What happened here?
Dennis: Social Security took away my SSDI Social Security Disability Insurance check believing I made too much money and basically renderng us totally broke from month to month. With no cushion of any kind we can't - we can't breathe financially. That's what happens when somebody takes $600.00 out of our income and I seriously doubt I'll get a raise just yet. It may be a year from now if I get it. Due to some issues at work. One thing it does good about is budgeting and watching spending closer.
Me: Did you properly document your income information for the Social Security review?
Dennis: They didn't give me a chance to. When they asked for a statement. They just called my employer and got the information themselves.
Me: What advice would you give anybody else on Social Security Disability Insurance if they were working?
Dennis: Make sure you can write off as much as you can. Keep track of medical bills, and expenses that pertain to your disability.
I didn't fabricate this as an example- this is going on NOW! As I type this web article, a team from WHAS 11 news is working on this story. If you want to see the coverage go to: www.whas11.com or if you live here locally, tune in to channel 11 on regular TV or if you have cable channel 4 at 10 and 11 PM EDT this evening.
If I'm asking for anything it's prayer and pray that our friend Kevin Bratcher who's gotten hold of the media in this case that it will reverse this insanity!
I feel very strongly that my husband's civil rights were violated and that Social Security has been discriminatory towards us. We have the potential of upward mobility unlike some folks on SSDI who are more severely disabled.
We are high- functioning disabled. In other words there are no serious mental disabilities. I would hope that they would realize that their system is totally flawed and leaves no room for married couples. I am going to suggest that those of you who are disabled KY residents call Jim Bunning and Mitch McConnell and drive them NUTS about Social Security reform.
Here's their phone numbers:
Jim Bunning: 1-800-283-8983
Mitch McConnell: 1-202-224-2499
If you are from out of state, go to:

Hearing EAST FROM THE WEST- CASTING CROWNS-WJIE 88.5 FM
COLLEGE STUDENT THREATENED OVER EUCHARIST WAFER
I've been mystified about what to write and how to write about this issue. I can't however condone what the Catholic Church's response for this action. The kid was CURIOUS for heaven's sake and the other guy brought it to probably TEACH HIM ABOUT EUCHARIST.
No, maybe it's not the best method, but neither is MURDER! If the Catholic Church at large is going to threaten this kid then you need to ask yourself this one question- What spirit are you of?
I'm appalled! I have Catholic friends and I doubt that this will look credible to the World whether we are respectful and decent or we come off like Satan's minions- I'd avoid the latter.
This is tragic! How do we know that this college student wasn't curious about joining and didn't feel comfortable about asking?
If you're Christian, Protestant or Catholic I am going to ask you to send a serious message to the Pope and to the Orlando Archdiocese that this is not acceptable Christian behavior.
Here are the links:
The story:
http://www.foxnews.com//story/0,2933,378081,00.html
The address:
http://www.orlandodiocese.org/contact/index.php
To say that I'm appalled would be an understatement! I thought we were past all this crazy junk about people threatening folks over the Eucharist. Boy I thought the Orthodox congregations in Jerusalem were rough, this takes the cake! I only have one thing to say here- the "sacrilege" was that the Church wasn't more understanding about this college student's curiosity and not meant to be disrespectful. Even JESUS taught in a Q&A format so quit treating this child like he just spat on a Bible ! This is a disgrace and I feel very offended myself- this is horrible!

Feeling Depressed
Hearing You Are Everything-Matthew West- WJIE 88.5 FM
JUST IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING
If you're wondering what the big deal is and why I'm so ticked off. I don't like being treated like a doormat. Getting walked on while I get involved in political issues- all I want to do is serve and do whatever God tells me to do.
I didn't walk in there to get squashed like a bug. I'm not an insect anyway. I really wish people would do their homework and find out what is really going on because for newcomers like me, it can get down-right frightening if you don't know what you're doing!
There are folks in power locally that I scratch my head about how they treat people. I even saw a handicapped guy ridiculed by a fellow Republican. I couldn't believe my ears! I started Independent and I should've stayed Independent. Joining things like political parties is very dangerous when the leadership is so freaking corrupt it could make you sick.
I like Mr. McCain but there are some serious problems that I see- he's surrounded by "system people." They work the political system as is and don't try to improve it or come up with better ideas than they had 8 years ago.
Then they "re-work" something and don't really do anything to help with new ideas. John needs not only to get rid of people who've hurt the campaign, but he needs to get ideas of how he's going to pull himself out of the dog house with the Christian populace. Just telling his testimony isn't going to cut it.
If he thinks that people are going to deal with him like they did George W. Bush, it's time to wake up. I'll pray for him, but he better get a reality check very soon that this election people are tired of the SAME OL' JUNK!
Let's look at the fact that neither he nor Barack have any new ideas about how to deal with the War on Terror, gas price crisis, mortgage crisis, or Constitutional issues we have to deal with. As it stands, Jay Sekulow is going to be a very busy man. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm just tired of seeing and hearing the same old stuff re-cycled. I'm too young for this kind of cynicism folks. This isn't funny!
I want to see the ACLU stopped permanently I'm tired of fighting over all this stuff that everybody knows how it's supposed to work. I'm also tired of people being treated like they are the dumbest things on two legs!
I want a real candidate who's going to represent MY BELIEFS and concerns, I don't see anybody. Yes, I want the War on Terror to continue, but I don't want to see us caving in to Saudi Arabia to get more oil or gas. I want a different type of car, and different fuels as well.
I want people to quit acting like a bunch of uncivilized nut-cases and act like they have some common sense. I don't care where you went to college or university, I care whether you can problem-solve you learn that skill in the first grade when you start taking arithmetic!
If we don't start demanding that the candidates exhibit Christian ethics and beliefs, we may as well, have brokered conventions until they get the right idea. Let me say something here, I'm not talking about a "Christian political system" that's powerless and just a symbolic gesture. I mean the real thing and I'm not talking about a "theocracy" either- that doesn't work in a republican system. Voting these folks who are not doing their job out of office is what I'm talking about.
