Feeling Quiet
Veterans Day 2007
Just another Veterans Day? I don't think so. There are so many veterans from so many countries and from so many wars/conflicts to thank for just serving whether it be in combat or noncombat status. My father served through WWII, Korea and Viet Nam but was never in combat. Many other family members were in combat and many others served. I'm proud of my veteran family.
If you have seen Arlington Cemetary with the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier or the Viet Nam Wall or the WWII Memorial, you really see the scope of sacrific that has been made for this country. (There's even a hidden WWI Memorial that few people see.) I always feel a sad pride for all vets.
Thank you one and all.
