Meme, thankfuls and continue praying!

Have you ever?

Driven to somewhere more than 8 hours away?
oh lands, which time?  IA to MA, MA to IA (mulitple times), MA to OR, OR to AZ and back, OR to TN, TN to IA and back (multiple times)

Looked at a beloved pet and wondered why you keep him/her around?
I find this question goofy.  If the pet is beloved then why would you wonder why you keep him?  Our dog Moose drives me nuts but I can't imagine life without him.

Burned more than 6 candles at once?
On a cake, sure.  I'm not sure otherwise.

Asked family/friends to help you out of a tough situation?
  Yes, in my twenties.

Been to an NFL game?
no

Been to a MLB game?
yes the Minnesota Twins when I was 10, the Red Sox at Fenway park when I was 18 or so.

Been to a NASCAR race?
  No.

Been to an NBA game?
yes, Celtics and Portland Trailblazers both in MA and OR

Been to an NHL game?
  Yes, Boston Bruins in Boston

Ridden a horse?
Yes.

Milked a cow?
No but I did milk a goat once.

Played hide-and-seek or Marco Polo in a corn field?
No, in a pool plenty of times.

Driven a monster truck?
  No.

Skinned a deer?
  No.

Shot a duck?
  No.

Cried over a commercial?
  Yes.

Washed your hair with dish soap, hand soap, or anything other than shampoo?
Yes

Brushed your teeth with baking soda BECAUSE you were out of toothpaste?
  NO

Stolen fruit from a neighbor's tree?
  No

Stolen anything, ever?
  Yes.

Gotten out of a traffic ticket?
No but I've only gotten one ticket!

Gotten a traffic ticket?
See above!

Asked a good friend to keep a secret?
  Yes.

Forgiven an ex?
Yes.

Hidden dirt under a rug, dishes in an appliance, or crap in a closet?  Yes.  Crap in a closet for sure!

Lou has been petitioning his boss for a company truck.  He said that most everyone in his company doesn'tunderstand why he doesn't already have one.  So all that it takes is for his main boss to approve this!  Keep the candles lit, say the prayers, people! Thanks!

Thankful Thursday!

1.  Super glad that my friend is home from her vacation!  I was going nuts not getting to download all of my woes!  She doesn't have a cell phone so I wasn't able to talk.

2.  Billy's mom!  We had a good talk yesterday.  She really feels like Billy is making great strides in many ways since we started watching him.

3. Chocolate chip cookies.  Mmmm they are so good.  I use Mrs. Field's cookie cookbook for my recipe and I recently got the Pampered Chef mini scoop.  It's like  an ice cream scoop but much smaller.  It has revolutionized my cookie making!

4.  My chiropractor.  He is really cool and in interested in helping me and my crazy back.

5.  My very supportive husband.  He told me that it wasn't an option for me not to go to the chiropractor.

I have a busy weekend/ end of the week.  My dad is in town for a really quick business trip.  He was stuck in Dallas and we didn't get to see him Tuesday.  He's flying American and was affected by the grounding of the planes for inspection.  He ended up in Cincinnati yesterday and nearly didn't get here at all.  He missed most of his meetings.  AND his bags remained in Dallas until last night.  We will see him today.  He was supposed to fly back tonight but I doubt that will happen.  I'm hoping he gets to stay a bit longer and that we can see more of him.

Tomorrow I watch Billy and then go to a scrapbook night.  Saturday I will go to spinning.  And Sunday the girls and I will ride.  Whew.  I need about a week at home.

I've had a busy few days at my parent's house, and when I got home....I was too emotionally tired to do anything but crash. So I'm spending the day reading through missed entries and getting caught up. I'll be praying for Lou that he gets a company truck.....fingers crossed too! I'm so sorry that your Dad got caught up in the airline mess, but glad you were able to spend some time with him. Don't you just love the PC mini scoop....me too, that and the mini spatula :)

    Pooh Hugs,
    Linda

Who you callin' odd?  LOL  I'm odd.  I read it as it was intended.  I just love storms.

I hope the company truck is in your drive REAL soon!

Thanks for hiding "crap in the closet" or whatever.  Nobody else does it, from what I've seen, but I've had dirty dishes in my oven, OK?  Too funny.
