Thankful Thursday and vehicle updates
I think I'll start on a positive note with my thankfuls.
1. Super thankful for my wonderful neighbor who let us use his car. Without it I'm not sure what this week would have been like.
2. Super thankful for my girls getting to ride yesterday. They did so well. Despite Emma nearly coming off at the trot. It was so funny-she got all tense and lay down on Appy's neck. But she stayed on! She also rode him in the small pasture, by herself with no lead line. Whooo hoooo! Bella and Billy were on Pat while I lead them around. At one point I looked at them and they were both sliding off the other side! I grabbed legs and laughed and laughed because neither one of them yelled for help! They were just going silently sideways! The only way I knew was that Pat slowed down and I looked back to see why. She is such a good mare.
3. I'm going to say that I'm thankful for my dogs because if I say it then I will try to be. With us gone so much they are more and more needy than I can stand. I know that is a bad attitude but much of their care falls on me and I get tired of putting dogs in and out every ten minutes!
4. Thankful for the decision not to drive to Murfreesboro last night. More on that in a minute!
5. Thankful for Emma's doctor. More on that also.
Car update: After having my Jeep for 3 days they decided to let us have it back since they never found anything wrong with it. I told Lou it would be crazy to try to get down there last night (Emma had a big rehearsal for her choir drama last night). I told him to ask his parents to pick up the car for us and we would get down there sometime. They drove it 5 miles and it died. I am soooooo glad we didn't drive an hour one way to have that happen!!!!!!! I'm sad that it happened to them but glad they live really close. The shop towed it back free of charge and hopefully will find something wrong with the dumb thing now!!!!!!!
Lou has found a small suv he is trying to buy. Long story there but suffice to say that he needs to get something since he just sold the van to the shop that fixed it for $300. We are going nuts with cars.
I took Emma to the doctor yesterday. She has been complaining of leg pain on and off for about a month. I was in the process of changing their doctor so I was sort of wondering whether to bring her in or not. Well, Saturday she was so sore it was just driving her nuts. Then all the stuff happened with the car so I had to wait til we had transportation to take her. He looked at her and asked a bunch of questions. It looks like a problem in her hip. So we are scheduled to see an orthopedic doc. I'm a little worried. She had a small fever (99.7) for what that is worth. Poor kiddo!

Oh Poor Emma....I hope it will be nothing serious, I will add her to my prayer book, please let me know what is happening with her. Extra hugs to you because I understand Mother worry....and this is certainly a reason for it!! :)
I hope the car situation works itself out soon, I hate being without my car when it happens. I'll keep that in my prayers too.
Sounds like the kids had fun riding....it's really been a wonderful opportunity for them since you've worked there, hasn't it? I'm glad it's all come together.
Hang in there....
Pooh Hugs,

I hope Emma is fine and that any problem they find will be minor. Hope you guys are able to get that SUV too!
