Power (Rankings) to the People: Week 6 Mailbag

Before I delve into the Power Rankings for Week 7, coming out Monday this week, time to dig into the comments from last week's rankings and give the people a little feedback so they know where I was coming from, and where I'll be going in the future. I hope you all like hearing about the Brewers, because that's about the only feedback I got last week.

wooooooooooo hoss lets not give the Brew crew the crown yet as the only team they have played that was above .500 was the dodgers at the beginning of the season. Everybody else including the cardinals has been mediocre at best. As far as bumping the Braves I find it hard to put the Mets in cfront of them when all said and done the Braves have lost one series all year and the two the Mets lost were to the Braves so this should by all means shoot a big fat hole in your power rankings.

Hoss? No one's handing the Brewers the crown, but they're off to a great start. Still think the Cubs will give them a run for their money. Yes, the Braves have beat the Mets head-to-head, but New York has a superior run differential. The teams are awfully, awfully close though.

You can take the Braves out of the top 5 all you want, but come Oct. you will be putting them back on top as they bury the Mets!

I'm on record as picking both teams to make the playoffs and picking the Braves to win the division, though the Mets look better right now. Good to have this rivalry back, though!

With the brewers entering a tough road stretch, if they come out of it uninjured and have a respectible record does this mean people will know they are for real?

People should know they already are for real, but, yeah, doing well against a tough string of opponents would make me respect the Brewers a little more.

When the Braves stop winning with or without homers, then you should take them out of the top 5.  They have 5 guys with 20 or more rbis and three possibly 4 legitamate closers.  Come October, last years hiccup will be a thing of the past.  Gotta like the way the kids are playing like seasoned veterans.

I'm not sure which I care less about, how many potential closers the Braves have or how many guys with a lot of RBI they have. So far, so good for Atlanta, though.

"the rest of the padres are mediocre???"  You're not real smart are you?  Have you heard of Adrian Gonzalez?  Chris Young, Greg Maddox?  The bullpen?
