This is Not a Good Year
I don't think this is going to be a good year for loosing our older actors and actresses..
Nothing much I can say other than, Charlton Heston sure made some memorable movies!
.. I'm thrilled to say I had a chance to meet him when I worked the autograph shows in California. My first view of him was when he was walking between buildings at the show.. I remember looking at him and thinking, "geez, he looks like he really COULD walk on water!" heh.. I can't say I'll ever forget that moment!
I can also remember when Ben Hur came out in the movies.. our class actually was taken to see this huge epic! (talk about a sore butt! heh) But it's always remained a favorite movie of mine. (of course it helped having the very gorgeous Stephen Boyd in it too!.. well, at least up until the chariot race.)
As we loose our older actors, I know we will never really see the likes of them again... and the very young will most likely never know what wonderful actors/ movies they've missed.
You are already missed Mr Heston. RIP.

RIP Mr. Heston. I just watched Moses over the Easter weekend. One of our local affiliates runs it every year. Sad indeed. Like you, I'm sure many of us are not enjoying watching the 'older' actors pass on.

I saw where he had died. I remember a couple of his movies but as you know I have never been much of a movie goer or TV watcher. I really liked his movies. Hugs, Helen

This is the first I'd heard of his death. Ben-Hur is one of my top 10 movies, and 10 commandments is right up there.

It make me realized life is too short to not enjoy it fully.
I was in my elementary years when i saw the 10 commandments and i really enjoyed it and still remember some of the scenes in my mind.
RIP Charlton Heston.
