Forbes recently featured a story detailing vacations taken by celebrities to places around the world. According to the article, stars go so far out of town because "what most of them want is privacy." And, naturally, the story is accompanied by a photo gallery revealing the "Best Places to Spot a Star This Summer." Good luck keeping your privacy now that everyone knows where you're headed, Heidi Klum.
However, what I noticed is how unlikely it would be to actually spot a star at one of these places. Your best bet seems to be Saint Barthélemy which hosts a whopping eight celebs on the whole island, according to this story. It may not be the biggest island but you'd still have to scour the entire area to find one of those stars who probably only visit occasionally due to their uber busy schedules.
I'd advise anyone trying to take a celebrity-laden vacation to stay stateside and try your hand in LA or NYC first. Gawker regularly tracks New York City stars-in-residence with Gawker Stalker while its sister blog, Defamer, details the activities of West Coast stars. Recent sitings include Mudspot Coffee and Thalia Restaurant in NYC. LA locals have been spotted at Blue Plate and Granville Cafe in Burbank.
Las Vegas has also been known to host numerous celebrities. Try Pure Nightclub, once voted as the best place to spot celebrities.
