Courier-Journal.com details the best way to do the Kentucky Derby. If you can manage that kind of expense, then do it up and don't forget your big hats, ladies.
As noted, Jenny McCarthy will be hosting the Derby Spectacular party at the Frazier International Museum on Friday. And if you can't get into the Barnstable Brown party, that's probably the place to be.
But if you prefer a much lower profile and a more frugal way to enjoy the derby, check out a few of the restaurants near Churchill Downs which will be far more affordable than dining track-side. Also, if you can't swing renting a mansion, make sure you find a quiet hotel not too far from the derby. That way you won't be spending too much on gas to drive to the race and back.
