Subject: Drink It: City's Best Beer
Time: 10:44:00 AM EDT

AOL CityGuide has announced the 2008 City's Best winners in several delicious categories.  For instance, check out the incredible City's Best Beer winners.

For instance, Brooklyn Brewery came out on top with the best beer in New York City.  The Brewery has been in business since 1988 when two regular guys kicked off their day jobs like a dirty pair of pants and started brewing up a storm in Brooklyn.  Today, you can visit the Brewery in Williamsburg (the place to be in Brooklyn, these days).

So Brooklyn Brewery is the best beer in NYC but is it better than the best in Chicago?

Goose Island Brewery earned the best beer title in Chicago this year.  Goose Island was born when a father and son teamed up to produce craft beer for their fellow Chicagoans who, in turn, gobbled up the idea resulting in the opening of more brewpubs and a line of craft sodas.

Of course, anyone who knows beer knows that neither New York nor Chicago can compete with the best beer in Milwaukee.  Milwaukee's best beer went to the Milwaukee Ale House this year. Regulars and newcomers to Milwaukee Ale House are sure to love the beers brewed by the alehouse since 1997.

Check out City's Best to find out who had the best beer in your city or best whatever in your city.

Oregon has more craft brewers than anywhere in the world and is the top brewering region by volume. There are 32 breweries in Portland alone and now organic brewing is the national trend leading craft producing a fuller, fresher tasting brew. Check out www.OregonBeer.org or  503.288.2739. Have an Oregon beer shipped direct to your home and try some of the worlds most exciting flavors.

I wish more people knew about the microbrewerys of Oregon.  Everyone knows how business unfriendly the local government is, so the brewerys could use the money.  Bottom line... no other region in the states at least can touch the local variety of top refrigerator shelf quality and uncounted selection.

Brooklyn Brewery has some really good products - can't say I've tried the Chicago beers, but they're likely not as good!
