The announcement came this morning at 8:30am. Kerry's camp announces Edwards will be his running mate as Vice President. I couldn't be more excited. This is a winning team. John Edwards possesses the background that defines what America is all about. He came from practically nothing and made his life into something. These candidates complement one another. There is no doubt about it. This day will change everything as we approach November. I have never in my 26 years seen so many Americans wanting to vote. Young people ready to vote and exercise their right. During last week's BET Awards several artists urged young voters to get out their and make a difference as they gave their acceptance speech. To the Average Joe it seems silly but to young audiences who know who Lil John is but have no idea who Dick Cheney is, it's awareness. I only hope the excitement, vocal outreach, and eagerness for change won't wane before November. Oh yeah, and it's Bush's birthday today.
