Back from the Dead

Okay, okay. I am ashamed to admit it but I literally fell off the face of the earth. Thanks to my audience of readers I'm back and ready to update my blog yet again. While I was in hiatus my lovely fan base still had my back. This is what all 3 of you wrote to me in support:

"Found your site through google, it's nice, but you should update it. Just because Bush won doesn't mean you should give up and allow the far right destroy the country."   ~ Member

I will admit that after the loss I was numb for several weeks. I almost expected the office to close or something as if we had endured a national tragedy. Then I rose up, remembered that I'm still a damn American, thank you very much and that if I'm so pissed about it then I need to do something about it. I am not going to riot nor rally outside the White House. I support our President. I said that and didn't laugh this time, by the way. I don't agree with the direction he's taken with this country but we're here now. I want to be a part of the solution. I'm still a proud member of the DNC. I am already thirsty for 2008 and preparing for what seems like a long time away. It's really not.

In addition to my political involvement I've also gotten engaged. Some brave soul took a risk on me. Lucky guy, right? So in addition to political diva I have added wedding planner to my resume. Hopefully, I won't have a case of the JLoand be writing about my second husband in a year. Sorry J.Lo fans.

Finally, I'm doing my best to get back into the DC social scene this coming spring. I've added a weight loss journal (love makes you fat) but sorry gang you will not be traveling down that road with me. I need to be trim and fit for all the lavish parties my fiance and I plan to hit (or crash) this year. We've decided to use our intelligence and charm to take over the world. If that doesn't work there's always reality TV.
