My Animal Planet Debut!

Remember that TV show I mentioned back in January?  It's airing on Animal
Planet this Sunday the 13th at 9:00 AM ... tune in to see if the little dog pictured
below manages to bite my nose off!

I Need More Puppies!!!

You guessed it -- I'm working behind-the-scenes on yet another
puppy-focused TV show.  Scroll down through my past entires and
you might be able to figure out the sponsor ... but it's an entirely new
show this time.  And if all goes according to plan, this one will be even
cuter!

I need BOATLOADS of puppies!  Under 16-weeks of age, cute (duh),
spunky, not-shy (we had some issues at our last taping with ultra-shy
pups), and on the small side ... if you live in the DC metro area shoot me
an e-mail with a photo of your pup posed by a water bottle (so that we can
tell how small your pup is), and include your pup's name, age and breed:

gooddogo@hotmail.com

Filming will take place either in Silver Spring, MD, or DC on 4/22 or 4/23.

Can't wait to see your pups!

Hey, thanks!

Washingtonian Magazine just published their list of top pet-related
services, and I made the cut!

Thanks, DC, VA, MD!

(Wondering where I've been?  Check out www.petside.com for daily
doggy updates.  I'm not getting too many comments over there, so if
you read something you like -- or don't like --  log on and be heard!
I'm talking to you, MyNovata78 and CorineColt!)

The Absent Diarist

Been a while!  Happy 2008, ya'll!

So where have I been since, oh, November?  I've been around,
working on all sorts of fun stuff.  My first book outline is finally finished
... I referred to the book in that goofy AOL Uncut interview I did at
Westminster last year.  (A year to complete a measly outline?!
What a slowpoke I am!)  I'm ready to begin work on book
outline #2 ... 2008 is going to be year of the books, baby.

I hope.

I also had another fleeting taste of TV fame ... check it out.

Make sure to watch my silly video clip ... we filmed it towards the end
of the day so I was sorta hopped up on goofballs. (1/28 update: they changed
clips ... I'm not so goofy in the one that's currently up there.)

When and where will the show air?  Don't know yet, but I'm pleased as
punch to be included on the cast list.

Stay tuned!

Hear ye, Hear ye!

Zeke and Sumner are finally ready to make their
big announcement!

In addition to reading about their adventures here and on
www.AnimalHubbub.com, you can now find them on the
just-launched web site www.PetSide.com !

We're honored to be a part of this great new site - take a
look around!

The blogs are towards the bottom of the page.  I'm writing
as "Madam Biscuit" ... if you click on  the "More Blogs" link
at the very bottom of the page you can see all of the stuff I've
done for them so far, including the story behind that "dogs
and airplanes" post I wrote about on here a while back.

Zeke and Sumner are thrilled that their audience is growing,
and they look forward to enchanting legions of new fans over
at PetSide.com!  (Look for a big Zeke cameo over there
next week!)

Slow Monday

So the big Zeke and Sumner news is delayed a bit ...
as soon as I get the green-light to make the announcement
for them I'll post it here (probably before the end of the month).

In the meantime, enjoy this gem.  Charles is a musical genius.

Dogs on Set

I worked on a documentary shoot yesterday and it was a blast!
I was in charge of finding the "canine talent" and the on-set training ...
you might recognize this actor:

Yup, it's Benson, father of the Frankenpuppies!  Everybody fell in love
with him, although it certainly wasn't for his acting abilities.  Every time
I tried to get him to "sit" on camera his butt wiggled so hard that his entire
body vibrated!

My former clients Rosie and Lilly the English Bulldogs were total
scene-stealers ... they provided the comic relief.  This isn't a great
photo (none of them are), but I had to grab them when I could in
between scenes:

The hands-down star of the day was my former client Loki:

She rocked it!  She received so much praise for her work
that we're now afraid that she's going to become a diva.

I can't say too much about the documentary at this point, but
I plan to post a follow-up entry in the near future.  Yes, there
is a reason why you see vintage airplanes in the background,
and yes, there is a very cool story behind the shoot!
