Presenting Winnie:

She's a 10 week old mini Aussie, and bound to be my new star student.
We had our first lesson on Saturday and she was a pro from the get-go.
She was all "Sit? Yeah, got that. You want me to do a "down"? Done
and done. Coming when called? I wrote the book on that, baby."
Doesn't she look crazed in this picture?

Winnie is going to be a joy to work with (luckily her owners are too!),
and I predict that by lesson 5 I'll run out of new things to teach this
clever little pup!

Wish I could teach my dog to behave. She's super friendly and has got to get all over everyone that come's over. If they like dogs they don't really mind but not everyone likes dogs.

In the meantime, why not put your dog on leash when guests arrive? That way you can keep him from getting too jumpy with them, but he can still be close enough to interact with them. Try standing on the leash at the midpoint - that'll avoid "kite on a string" syndrome!
Good luck!
