Gone Baby Gone
This movie was very gritty and realistic. They shot it on the streets of Boston where the book that it was adapted from took place. They even used real people who were not actors in this movie.
This is a movie about a little girl that goes missing. Through out the film there is a running commentary on how we are not protecting our children. This movie is not for children to see.
I am very impressed with the ensemble cast in this movie, Casey Affleck, Morgan Freeman, and Ed Harris to name a few. There are people in this movie that you will recognize from other movies and possibly T. V.
This movie being Ben Affleck's directorial debut, I would have to say that he hit this one out of the park. He is an amazing director and got amazing performances out of his cast.
Once you think that you have the movie figured out, it throws you a curve. It in some ways is a bleak movie but definitely worth watching. Casey Affleck in his first major role was so good in this part, he really is believable as the main character.
If you can handle watching this it is a great movie. Although it is sad and there are parts that will make moms cry. I know because I did.
