Change a Light Tonight

Campaign Urges Every Home to Change One Bulb: Today was "Change a Light Day," when the Energy Star kicked off its annual drive to get folks to buy energy-efficient light bulbs and fixtures. The goal is to save energy, cut electric bills and help slow down global warming.

I wrote an article about it here. You can take the Change a Light Pledge here on the Energy Star site, where you can also register your group to participate.

Apparently demand for compact fluorescent bulbs is rising and prices are falling -- so take advantage and save $30 over the life of your new bulb!

I have high hopes to get AOL to sign up and get fellow employees to participate; I'll let you know how that goes.

I have purchased some of these bulbs and am currently using two of them.  The problem is proper disposal of them.  They contain mercury!

    Want to do it right.
