Cat Loves to Watch 'Planet Earth' on Discovery
Enthralled by Her Big Cousin: Yes, this is a real photo of a cat named Indy watching a leopard on TV -- on Discovery Channel's 'Planet Earth' TV series, to be exact.
AOL Video editor Meredith O'Donnell owns Indy (full name Indiana Mousekowitz) and says she -- the cat, that is -- watched an entire 'Planet Earth' show on March 25.
One of my cats has done something like this before, but no way he could sit still for an entire TV show. Do your pets watch television? Only animal shows or other programs? Post your pet-TV stories here!

You can also submit your nature photo to us; it could appear in an AOL Research & Learn gallery of user photos that we plan to launch around Earth Day, April 22.

My cat has a weight problem already! The LAST thing I need Riley to be doing is sitting around the house all day watching TV while I'm out working. He has work to do (catching flies and spiders, etc.)

Isn't it a blast just to watch them watching TV? I recently bought a tape, also available on DVD, called the "Cat Sitter" (at Petsmart) and my cats love it. I have 7 cats and now they will just start watching TV, no matter what's on. Tonight it was Dancing with the Stars. I feel like they are telling me it's time to put on their "show".

I have 4 cats ranging in age from 11 months to almost 7 years old. Every one of them like to watch animal shows on TV and 2 of them will actually watch an entire show. They both love 'Planet Earth', 'America's Funniest Animals', and the Meerkat show. I think they see it as if they are looking out of a window from the house at the view "outside." If I know that I am going to be away from home all afternoon or evening I will sometimes leave the 'Animal Planet' channel on to entertain them. I've heard there are even DVDs available for cat and dog entertainment.

My cat, Gus, will not only watch animals on TV, but will bat at the screen in hopes to participate. Hollywood, here we come!
