Band Releases New Short Movie: I couldn't resist posting about this one.
Yes, climate change is cranking up temps just like the Spinal Tap boys turn their amps to 11 for a little something extra. The mock rock band is back with a movie, "Spinal Tap," that helped open the Tribeca Film Festival this week in New York City. (See "Spinal Tap Reunites to Fight Climate Change")
According to the story, "In the new film, [Rob] Reiner, reprising his role, takes credit for coining the term "global warming." The band members discuss their long history of charity work, such as campaigns to help ferrets -- by raising money to feed them Caesar salad -- and to help people with high insteps."
View a clip from their movie. I bet the band was worried about higher temperatures causing more of their drummers to spontaneously combust on stage.
The band will also play in London at one of 7 Live Earth concerts on July 7.
The news that Spinal Tap is back really made my week. Art imitating life and participating in it? Awesome. Post your comments, please.
