Sweet Dandi you would have been 17 years old yesterday. We miss you precious boy. There isn't a day that passes that we don't think of you. You had the sweetest face and big brown nose. We wanted to keep you always but you had to go. Somewhere I believe you are running as a puppy with Sadie again. No more days of not being able to go up the steps. You are jumping high and playing. I can just see the little brown ears you had as a baby. You were so cute. Auntie Sheila loves you and I will always remember how adorable and sweet you were. I love you Dandi.

Have spent a wonderful day with my babies. They are so sweet. It is dinner time for them and as I post this, they are eating their chicken and rice. They are so pampered and spoiled. I have never told them that they are " dogs". The thing is, they are my babies!!! They think they are my babies as well. Little bed buddies, so soft and loving. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and just watch them sleep. I guess there is a part of me that knows I must savor each moment with them. There are times I imagine for just one instant how it would be without them. I can't allow my thoughts to go this way for more than a second. My heart starts to break with just the imagination of not having them to love. I know they are a gift for such a short while. I intend to take every moment with them and create all the love and memories possible.

Someone loves Heidi, Haley and Bailey today in this big world. A world that is sometimes cold and indifferent to the needs of little four legged babies. To all the little ones today that are lost and homeless, I dedicate this post. My babies have given me a love in my heart I never knew of. Love that is totally forgiving, absolutely no strings attached, unconditionally flawless. What a joy to know this love!!! Just to think I almost missed this great "kind of love". I would go to the ends of the earth for them. I would work my fingers to the bone to save their lives. I have never had anyone on this planet love me as they do!! This has to be close to perfect love.

My biggest fantasy on earth would be to have a big farm and have all the dogs that came my way. I would love to be like the " dog whisperer" and have a big " pack". I would love to care for them all and get all that perfect love showered on me all day. I guess I will have to be satisfied with my " little pack".

My Bailey in the bottom picture, the first time I ever saw his beautiful face. I was in love at that moment. He was such a big baby for a bichon. I actually thought that his weight of 14 pounds had to be a mistake. He was five months at the time this picture was taken. I looked at his face and the way his hair was covering one of his eyes and I was in love. I then looked at that " big black nose" and I knew he just had to be my baby. The top picture is of the way he looks now, except a few more pounds.

I love this boy with all of my heart. I can't imagine a day without him in it!!! I am so lucky that he was sent to me. He brings love and joy to me each day of his life. I looked at him today and I told him this " Bailey you can't spell the word love, however you sure do know how to give love". He is always the center of the house. He loves to play and tease his sisters. He loves his toys and most of all he loves to eat. I cherish the day I first saw him in the airport. I loved him immediately and he loved me the same. He is my big boy and there shall never be another boy such as Bailey for me. I feel so lucky that somehow he came to be my " heart boy". He was a Small Paws puppymill baby and thank God he got out.

Recently we had a contest at work to submit pictures of our babies. My babies won " the best dressed" catagory of the contest. They received a gift card from Petsmart. I was so proud of them in this picture. I remember the day I finally got these hats and coats on them, and believe me it was not easy. They posed like little angels and let me create this memory of them. I love them so much. I can't begin to tell anyone the joy each of them have brought to my life. They are the best of the best to me.

This is Humphrey and he was a victim of cruel abuse at the hands of those that have no love in their hearts for God's beautiful creatures. This baby has gone to the rainbow bridge now. It brings me such pleasure to see his sweet face in this picture. He knew love in the last years of his life. God bless Small Paws.

My dearest little Dandi, it has been one year today that we lost you. We miss you so much. You were such a precious boy and the love of your mommy's life. We talk about you all the time and you will always be a part of us. I am so happy I got to meet you and spend some time with you. It was such a joy to me. I know that you and Sadie are playing and having a lot of fun as little puppies again. I have to believe this, since I can't imagine heaven as the wonderful place I know it is, without little one's such as you Dandi. Your mommy and I just have our litttle babies to love here on earth. You and Sadie and Codi and Cookie, Daisy, Holly, Sammie, Heidi. Haley and Bailey are all our children. We love you all as if we had given birth to each of you. I believe we will all be together again someday. for this is the desire of our hearts. Until that day we are separated for just a short while. Please wait and be patient and run free with Sadie and have a lot of fun. We will see you again, I just know it!!! I love you Dandi. Meeting you was to love you. You were a special boy.

These are a few of the pictures my friend Helen took of the babies over the 4th of July 2005.My Heidi went with me and she is the one with the little lace trimmed panties on. This was because since she was in a new place I didn't want her to have any accidents. Helen has (4) beautiful bichons. Their names are Dandy, Daisy and she has ( 2) babies just over 2 years old and they are litter mates. Their names are Cookie and Codi. They are all the sweetest bichons. Little Dandy is 15 years old and Daisy is about 5 or 6 . Cookie and Codi are almost three. My Heidi will be 3 in January. We all had the best time. The bichons all got along well and had a lot of fun. The only thing was Heidi's little tummy was in a turmoil and she had some little poo poo incidences. It took her a few days to get used to being away from her own brother and sister but then she was ok. She did well on the flight but I think when I go again on a flight I will let her stay home. I think it was a little tramatic for her in the beginning. Helen took me all over O'fallon, IL and St Louis, Mo. We went to the riverboat casinos and saw the most beautiful fireworks ever accross the Mississippi river. I saw the famous St Louis arch and the downtown parade. There was also a big fair down by the river. I met a lot of her wonderful friends as well. We went to some great restaurants and a place called " The Hill". The hill is a real italian section in St Louis that has all these wonderful small italian restaurants . I felt like I was in Italy. The houses in this small section were the cutest I have ever seen. Italians lived in all of them. They were all just about connected( they were so close together) but all so lovely and quaint. One of the girls that went with us to eat took us to her mothers house. Her mother lived in the hill district. Her mother was in her 80's and a little small italian woman as sweet as she could be. Her house was immaculate and it was such a pleasure to meet her and see one of these very unique and unusual little houses. I loved it. Helen was so nice to me and Heidi. I can't wait until I can go back for another visit. I have some picures I made that I will post as soon as I ge the disc. Look at picture ( 2 and 13)) on here and see her beautiful Cody. What a doll. Look at picture ( 11) and see Cookie. What a love. Look at ( Little precious Dandy is in pictures ( 8 and 9) . Precious Daisy is in pictures (16 and 17) and her mommy said she is the little plump baby. I can tell you she is beautiful and has the best personality ever. My Heidi is the wonderful baby in pictures( 10 and 14 and 15 and 18). What a wonderful trip we had.

I meant to put a picture of Claudias bichon Trixie on my journal also. What a truly beautiful bichon she is. My she is so pretty. What a little lady she looks to be. She is little Pami's big sister and is teaching Pami how to be a dog. Oh she is so lovely. I don't think I have ever seen a more beautiful little lady. Even in this picture you can see her charm and beauty. Pami has a wonderful family. How special to have a sister as sweet as Trixie to have to teach her all the ropes of what it means to be a pet. Oh she is so, so very lovely.
