The Biggest Loser/Lucy

So last night I was watching The Biggest Loser and was thinking (the same damn thing as Sherry).  What the hell is with all of the *LOW* weight loses on all the teams.  I mean really.  If I was working out 3-4 hours a day like them, I would be losing double digits.  I even said to my daughter Lucy that the reason they aren't losing lots of weight is because they are eating too much.  Yes they are probably eating a lot healthier foods, but they are eating too much of it.  I know they are!!!

I got a new girl in the office with me to help with all my work.  She goes to the same gym as Eric (the winner of TBL last year) He said that while they are on the Ranch,  they work out 3-4 hours a day.  So I am sure that you need your energy to sustain exercise like that, but you know and I know when it comes down to it.  To lose weight, you need to cut back on the AMOUNT of food you consume! RIGHT?!?!?

Me and the girls over in the group are doing another challenge.  I think we all had a very rough summer (most of us in the group) with a lot of family issues.  More than you can imagine.  It was all time for us to pull up our big girl panties and get serious about losing this weight, once and for all!!  I personally started a while ago, but go sick and kind of just stalled out.  I didn't gain back the weight , just maintained it.  Now that I am back to feeling better and back from my trip from Florida.  I am back on track ... yet again..lol

I was telling my girls in the group that I let my daughter Lucy join the gym with me.  Lucy is 12 years old and she DOESN'T have a weight problem.

(i am the lucky one and the ONLY one in the house out of 5 people, that has a weight problem...lol) My son asked me why does she need to join the gym.....

My Response.... because I want her to have healthy exercise habits and make exercise a part of her life so that she doesn't go through what I go through EVERY SECOND OF EVERYDAY!!!

We need to teach our kids from the time they are little to have exercise (any kind of movement)  part of their everyday life.  Just like brushing your teeth every day, you need to exercise everyday!!!

Besides.... that little bugger can out run me on the treadmills and THAT CRAP HAS GOT TO STOP.  I am NOT going to let a 12 year old run faster than ME at the gym....lol (a little healthy competition between a mom and her daughter)lol

Todays weight... 172.2

Have a great day!!!

OK, you've got me fired up. I have consistently gained weight for the last 8 years and I am tired of it.  My life is going to have some huge changes in the next year -marriage-wise, work-wise, everything, and I need to be in shape to handle those changes. I have felt like I'm not worth the effort, but now I'm going to invest in myself. I've always put myself last, but my new life will change all that! Let's GO!
