Challenge
Hey Everyone....Today was weigh in day for me and my *SEXY RED DEVIL* partner Erica in the Challenge over in our D-I-E-T group. All I can say is..... WE KICKED THE SNOT OUT OF OUR COMPETITION !!!! (actually Sherry said that, but thought is was good enough to use it) I lost a total of 5.8 lbs this week and my girl did just as well. (i am sure she will tell you as soon as her computer gets fixed). I started out Tuesday morning at 174.3 and today I am 168.5 I didn't deny myself anything I wanted. I didn't starve myself.... I used portion control. Drank my water (about 60 oz a day) and did a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio each day. I am really happy with my results and it gives me the motivation to stay focused.

I have a question for you ladies out there. If someone is eating 1500 calories a day and burning 400 calories doing cardio, doesn't it make sense NOT to eat 400 more to bring your calorie count back up to 1500. Isn't it technically eating 1900 calories and a sure fired guarauntee NOT to lose weight??? Does that make sense???

We rocked this week....and next week is gonna be just as good!
I don't know about the whole calorie keeping up stuff, I just do what I know has to be right and that is eating healthier foods, smaller portions and eating closer together....not just one big meal(like I am known for)
getting in your water(and not the kind mixed with barley and hopps* that is key for me lol)
EXERCISE.....yeah I said it! lol it has to be incorporated.
I get what you are saying with the whole "why add 400, if you just busted ass working that many off"
To each his own i guess....if it works, DO IT! lol

Here's the trick wth calories in- calories out. To lose weight at a modest 1-2 lbs a week, you should be eating 500 less calories a day (than it takes to maintain your current weight) and burning 500 more calories a day (about 30 min to an hour of exercise-depending on the exercise and your weight). With this 1000 calorie "deficit" a day, you should lose 1-2 lbs a week. There are a lot of websites out there that have calculators to help you figure out what you should be eating. www.fitday.com is one, and www.sparkspeople.com is another. Estela

I think it depends on what you weigh . if I ate 1500 calories aday I wouldn't lose a bit of weight I would be bitchy and grippy and down right miserable , if I how ever ate 2000 calories a day which is recommend for my height and I burned 500 calories my body wouldn't feel deprived and I would lose , but that is me and everyone is different , Congratulations girl for your win , I think you and Erica are doing fabilious ...
hugs
