Hearing The Horrors -- Sheena Is A Parasite

The Air Is Hot Dog Breath

It's a DRY heat at least ...

It's hot out there. Lava hot. Africa hot. Hot and humid, like a giant dog that really wants some of the world's dinner is just breathing on it all day long. Hot enough that I'm feeling it through the thick walls of the AOL space station here in Northern Virginia.

Heat drives people to extremes. They do things they shouldn't, have ideas they'd never have if they were cool and comfortable. It has been said that if the South had A/C for the entire 20th century, there would be no Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. How do you write that if you're completely sane?

Some guy back home totally lost it the other day. Cops blame drugs, I say it was the heat.

Some people lose it in this heat. Other people, they get inspired. Like this guy. He rigged a gas generator onto his trunk and stuck a window unit in his car. That's genius. What are y'all doing about this heat? Anything? Any ideas?

I live in Michigan now, but I used to live in Florida. Talk about hot and humidity!!! They complain here that it is hot, but I just look at them and say, try Florida right now. That ususally shuts them up...... I like it here where there may be 50%humidity instead of there where there is 100% humidity..... Tawnya

My a/c can't even keep up with this heat.  When that happens I like to go over to Barnes & Noble and waste time, where the air conditioning is much better, LOL.

I need to borrow the window unit/generator contraption for my job interview in Alexandria tomorrow ... it's a three hour drive from my house and guess what, my car's a/c is on the fritz.  Figures!!

It is doggone HOT but that's not nearly as bad as the HUMIDITY - well the combination feels like well, H e double hockey sticks.  ugh.
