AOL Journals: Pixel Pusher

I ride to work with Kenny, my writing partner and editor of the gayest blog on AOL. Even though he is doing me a favor, I still love to make a big show out of my disdain for his musical taste. But the other day, he was pumping this super-catchy, sticky-sweet synth-pop reggae song, and I was digging it. I shouted over the thudding bass:

"Dude, usually I don't get into Gwen Stefani, but this is cool!"

Kenny turned to me and said with a grin so big his ears got wet:

"That's not Gwen Stefani. You're loving Paris Hilton! Are you sure you're not a little gay?"

Or do they? Because, breaking news here, Paris may not have written that song. Duh, you might say. But her handlers may not have, either. Check out this video, which mashes Hilton's 'Stars Are Blind' with UB40's 'Kingston Town.'

What do you think? Blatant ripoff, loving homage, or total coincidence?

  Paris Hilton is the perfect example that money may not buy you happiness but it will buy you a lot of career choices. She is truly the real life Barbie. Disco Paris, fashion model Paris, Porno star Paris, Reality Tv Paris, Movie Star Paris, Pop Star singer Paris.   I think Paris Hilton is probably a great person if anyone would take time off from dissing her long enough to get to know her. She is very beautiful, probably smart even though I havent any proof of that, I think lots of people are jealous of her status but she did not ask to be born into that so dont blame her. If you were in her position what would u do?  maybe u should ask yourself that question before judging Paris.

  lmao...can you feel the love?  I love UB40. Paris..well she lives my life dammit!  Secretly I am a tall, skinny, popular blonde...I'm just packed in a shorter, plumper, red headed version at present time.  Now I will be singing that song all day.  Better than "Who let the dogs out"
