Candles Burning
By Tabitha King and Michael McDowell
Known for his chilling "Blackwater" series, Michael McDowell left behind the unfinished manuscript for "Candles Burning" upon his death in 1999, in the spirit of the ghost stories he loved.
Tabitha King picked up where he left off, weaving a Southern gothic fabric of murder, guilt, innocence, corruption, and survival, in the voices of the living and the dead.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book although the suspense I expected was missing. An easy read with a twisted plot that never seems to end until the picture is complete at the end of the novel.
I have skipped a few books I read over the summer but will get in here and blog/review soon on those.

Have you read any yet?
Janet Evanovich has written a series of books - 11 so far (maybe 12...) I am on number 10 of the series. Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter of sorts who is lusting after two men, but the books aren't really about that. They are about Stephanie being a klutz, among other things. She always gets her mark but it's hilarious how she goes about it and accomplishes the capture each person she rounds-up.
Looking for others comments about these books.

Hey 'Yall:
Read the "Cell" this past weekend. What a fluid writer Stephen King is. Have always loved his books and style of writting... I am hoping that the end leaves him open to a new book (sequel) with this same background "picture" for the story. WOW is all I can say. Every book of his I have read leaves me thinking what an imagination he has.
If you have read "On Writing" by him, you might understand how his imagination developed.
Anyone else read this one yet?
