I Was Om Hospice for a Few Days (Part Three)

All the time I could have food and that's when I least wanted it. Eventually I decided it.  I eventually deduce that this is what I needed could want and needed it.  ( also discovered that the much praised food was bad .)  Even staff admitted that.

They do take excellent care of you.  In fact this helped me and I believe that now, instead of trying to stay home and die there, I will choose their care plan (they have already) to go there and die there.  It is not the best, nor the worst.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad episode of fiery pain.  But I'm glad they were able to get it back under control.  Hospice really is a wonderful help and support.

I'll quote part of Psalm 63 here for inspiration:

O God, you are my God;  I earnestly search for You.
My soul thirsts for You;  my whole body longs for You.
Your unfailing love is better to me than life itself.
I sing for joy in the shadow of Your protecting wings.
I follow close behind You;  Your strong right hand holds me securely.
    (Psalm 63: 1,3,7,8)

My heart shall rejoice, Lord Jesus,
When Thou comest and callest for me!   (Emily Elliott, 1800's)

Continued blessings and prayers for you,
    Ruthie

    Ellen,

I hope that you are feeling a little better -- your friends over at HS are having a virtual party in your honor.  It is wonderful to see that you have touched so many lives and that you have given a little bit more strength to all of us.  You would laugh at all the items that your sisters are bringing to the party -- some weird combinations of food, but chocolate ranks right up there as one of the favorites.

I wish that we could give you some real hugs as well as virtual hugs. -- Brenda (knighbb1)

Ellen, I laugh and cry and laugh at your journal. More than anything, I want you to know you are one person I will never forget. We're the same class (2001), and you're just after me in diagnosis.

I also expect that you're not quite ready to go anywhere yet. And, when the time comes, you will be sure to meet up all of our ovarian cancer sisters who have gone ahead of us and have one grand bash, my mom included. Please keep posting for as long as you are able. You'll get to Christmas, dear lady!

    Fondly,
    Annamarie in Annapolis

    We do love you
May the good Lord be close beside you during this time.
