Two of the Wizards picked up some props this past week. Good stuff.

First, Gilbert Arenas was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week. 'Bout time, too.
Second, both Arenas and Antawn Jamison were taken to play for Team USA in the upcoming Olympics. With Steve Nash unavailable--he'll undoubtedly play for Canada--the two remaining top point guards, Arenas and Chauncey Billups of Detroit, will share duties. Jamison will go as a forward.

Finally, Gilbert attended the launch of We Can--Together, a new fitness program aimed at DC's kids. Also in attendance were Wizards owner Irene Pollin and Mayor Anthony Williams. For further information on this anti-obesity program, please go to:
