God's Kingdom!

The Bible proclaims that God has a Kingdom. Jesus taught in His example prayer to pray for God’s Kingdom to come; “Thy kingdom come.…”

Jesus Christ came preaching the “gospel of the kingdom“. Yet, not many today preach about God’s Kingdom. Some teach that the Church is the kingdom of God. Some say that “the kingdom of God is within you”. [Luke 17:21] And it is very true that the Kingdom of God begins in the heart. Another translation of Luke 17:21 can read; “The kingdom of God is in the midst of you“. Here Jesus is simply stating that thier King is in the midst of them - standing in front of them.

It is necessary for this coming Kingdom to be preached and to believe the gospel in order to be saved but how can you get this message and be part of the Kingdom if you do not even know what it is? For 2000 plus years the message has been being preached by God’s remnant people yet many still have not heard the truth of the coming Kingdom.

This coming Kingdom has God’s Law’s working in it. Christians will be happy to keep them. As Seventh Day Adventist’s we believe that the church of old, literal Israel, has been growing and that the Church of the New Testament has more light than the Church of old. The complete gospel could not be preached to the world until the coming of Christ. Now the whole  ”congregation” has the big picture. What is it?

God has a kingdom with His children living in it. That is, God has prepared a place for His children. Few understand that God has a Kingdom with Law’s. These Law’s are perfect. We are told that Satan is the God of this world. [2 Corinthians 4:4] Satan has his own laws and every one of Satan’s laws contradicts God’s.

The Christian church is the “body of believers” called out from Satan’s world. And that true “remnant” people of God will live in the government of God. They will take pleasure in being governed by Almighty God! They will reject this world’s idea of peace and Satan’s false government.

God has placed His government in His church. “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” [Revelation 14:12]

Who’s kingdom are you in?
