Check out the video for the Magnificent illinois Potato Chip on YouTube!
"The Magnificent Illinois Potato Chip"Had it not been for the fact that I live in Illinois and was reading The DailySouthtown, I probably would never have read the article about a corn flake that was being auctioned for looking like our state. I read the article while eating lunch and noticed that a potato chip I had just pulled out of the bag looked identical to the corn flake I just read about...

While the corn flake that had made the papers was from Virginia and looked like Illinois, my potato chip was purchased and nearly eaten in Illinois. Truly an Illinois novelty.
At first I decided to auction the chip for fun. Others were doing it with corn flakes and didn't see why I couldn't do the same. After all, it really does look like The Land of Lincoln. However, when asked what I would do with the money if the chip was bid on, I decided that it could really help with paying for my Ferret's (Fred) much needed surgery...

Fred, a 6 year old female ferret was diagnosed with Adrenal Disease recently and the traditional treatments for the disease have failed. She needs an operation. Proceeds from the chip will go to cover Fred's medical needs and attentions.
It would be interesting if Fred gets to have her surgery quicker because of a Potato Chip resembling her home.
