My Initial Take On: JAMIE NEWTON

Jamie Newton was born and raised in Douglas, GA. He earned a degree in finance from Central Missouri State University. He works as a water ski instructor, a model and wants to be an actor. He has appeared in 'All My Children' (2003) and has picked up many extras appearances. He's single and 24 years old.

Okay, not a heck of a lot on the web about Jamie, but this article offers a teensy insight - Douglas Daily News His Mom says he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his modeling career, plans to give it a year and then use his degree if all doesn't pan out. He seriously thinks 'Survivor' will open doors for him. Um... yeah, so many 'Survivor' castaways have gone on to so many big acting gigs! @@ - Pardon me while I roll my eyes.

Over on the CBS website, I got the skinny on Jamie. Hmm... he likes Fruity Pebbles -- must be the child within! He has an identical twin named Ramie. Now that's two sets of identical twins related to the show (if you look at what I've written chronologically from the start we already had Cindy and Mindy). Two sets of identical twins with rhyming names. Why do parents do that to children? He was a wrestler in college. He thinks he's adventurous and connects well with people. If he wins, he wants to pay off his college loans and buy his Mom a house.

All in all? I'm not getting a great feel of how he'll do in the game. He doesn't list any woodsy stuff and his favorites are rather simplistic while others went into more detail. I'll say he'll be middle of the pack. If he does indeed get along with others well, he may very well do better. I guess we'll see!

All My Children...what role? Couldn't find that info...what is up with all of these twins? More importantly, I'm with Jackie Jamie/Ramie and Cindy/Mindy...those parents must have been smoking something funny when they picked those names. Can't wait! Patti

Jimmy Neutron, er, Jamie Newton, sorry, probably already had meaningful dialoug worked out ahead of time, and practised being concerned, sad, interested, interesting, flirty, and sensitive. I can see him practising his bedroom eyes and pursing his lips in his car mirror while waiting at the lights..

In a word - shameless self-promoter. Not just in the game for money - also into the game thinking of it as a springboard into his acting gig. Not a fan. But I'll bet the first to admit if I'm wrong.

Ah, the token "pretty guy/actor"...we always need the male eye candy for the shows, not just the bikini girls LOL. This guy looks like he could work up a good six-pack for us old gals to admire, no? LOL He's got weird eyes, gives me the creepy-peepy's LOL! Lotsa these young guys that body build are not that coordinated when it comes down to the actual competitions so we shall see what the pretty boy is made of!! LOL
