Feeling Quiet
Hearing BB Live Feeds
Jim Lynch was born and raised in Scottsbluff, NE. After military service, he settled in Colorado. He joined the Aurora Fire Department in 1972 and retired with the rank of Captain after 30 years. He is married, has two grown children and is 63 years old.
There's nothing I could find from his hometown online papers, so it's right to the CBS website for information on Jim! Okay. I like his favorite games choices - Scrabble and Chess - brains and strategy. He says he likes to play Gold as a sport. I haven't a clue what that is. He's into the outdoors. He likes Pringles -- 'Survivor' will love him for that! After he retired, he and his wife have been traveling, including some locations that are a bit like a 'Survivor' kind of environment. In April of 2004, he climbed Mt. Huena in Peru. He's taking flying lessons and building a helicopter.
All in all? Wow. I'm impressed. This is an older castaway who is in good shape and could very well do very well. :-) I like him. I worry a bit about the "Captain" in the fire department as it might make him want to take control. But, then again, he's been retired for about three years. I think he'll go far in the game.
That's my Initial Take on Jim. What's yours?

Sorry to see Jimmy being the first voted out of the Survivor game, however, any player with that level of injury to their person SHOULD go home. It would only get worse. And at his age, an injury like that could now be "chronic/life-long". For the amount of time he was there, I think he did AWESOME. That team would now have won the camp without Jim and his compass abilities...I hope he taught someone else how to use the compass. I'm thinking this might be required in this game again!
(((((Take Care, Jimmy)))))

Jimmy, I like the guy already. I see him, though, taking a leadership role right away and getting under the skin of the younger crowd, especially Morgan, who is likely to complain that he's not the boss of her, and badmouth him to her clan.
Because he may try to take that leadership role, he may last as long as his team wins, but then be an immediate target the minute they march off to tribal. -
I love these older guys!! They've been around the block *grin* a few times so they're usually pretty laid back and smart! One of my favourite was that (retired) judge, what was his name back a few shows ago lol.! Even if they can't play a physical game they are pretty damn good at the mental game and reading all the "youngsters" on their team! He sounds like he's in pretty good physical condition and still active though, can't wait to see how he handles his first competitions :)
