Feeling Chillin'
Hearing BB Live Feeds
Rafe Judkins was born into a large Mormon family in Salt Lake City, UT. He went to Providence, RI to attend the Ivy League school Brown University, graduating this past May. He currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA. He's single and 22 years old.
Out on the Internet, I found these articles about him as a 'Survivor' castaway:
Judkins '05 to compete on 'Survivor: Guatemala' - Brown Daily Herald - Campus News
Kilbuck man becomes 'Survivor' contestant - PittsburghLIVE.com
NEWS UPDATE: Judkins '05 to compete on 'Survivor: Guatemala' - Brown Daily Herald - Web Updates
Those articles have tons of insight into Rafe. He was even voted Most Likely to be on Survivor at his preparatory school. At least, that's what the school name sounds like. <g> His brother has a website set up at LandonJudkins.Net which should be interesting to peek at as the season progresses.
It's off to the CBS website for more! Ah, the scent of honeysuckle! :-) He likes tennis, swimming, hiking, backpacking -- all good for the game. Ohhh! He likes peanut butter w/Hershey kiss atop cookies -- I make those, they're great! <grin> It sounds like he had a rather interesting and unusual upbringing; his mother was an artist, father was an inventor. They moved to the Pittsburgh area when he was 5 and he spent all his schooling years at a place called Sewickley Academy. He spent his school year summers teaching English and science to inner city students. Now, here's something interesting: In college he managed Brown Outdoor Leadership Training (BOLT), a program designed to give students exposure to intense wilderness with small groups of people. Aha! He can play 'Ode to Joy' on the piano with his toes and his Mom is his hero.
All in all? Whoa... we may have a winner here! If he can get along well enough with everyone else, he definitely has the skills to make himself useful. I predict Final Four.
That's my Initial Take on Rafe. What's yours?

Find out more about <a href="http://www.landonjudkins.net">Rafe Judkins</a> ! Click the hyperlinked text to view a bio on Rafe Judkins, created by his brother Landon. Thank you so much.

Mom an artist? Think non-conventional upbringing. He seems personable, likeable, and strong. I hope this guy makes it to the final 4 with Cop Woman (already forget her name - doh!). Overall, favourable first impression and hope he goes far.
Thanks again Jackie for opening up this forum for us reality TV addicts. -
He's got all the right "credentials" according to his bio/s BUT this means nothing if you "know" too much and other contestants can tend to jump on people that can be too knowledgeable and display this knowledge too quickly! If he's as smart as appearances then he will keep his mouth quiet about all his skills and just play quietly and stealthily ( is that a word? LOL)!

From his bio I have to agree he has what it could take to make it to the end, but lets see how he gets along with the rest.
