Blogging 'Survivor: Guatemala'

Welcome, Survivor fans!  Yeah, I know this isn't the first entry in this blog, but I'm ready to welcome people now!  :-) 

If you refer to the archives (linked at the top or bottom of this page) or by using THIS LINK you can see pictures of all sixteen castaways, a bit of bio information, links to online news articles about them and my 'Initial Take' on each one.  I invite you to read through them and let me know what you think of the new cast!  AOL Journals only display the most recent 10 entries at a shot, so to view the whole cast, you have to go to the archives or be reading a single entry with the archive for the month on the right.

Oh, you want to know what I'm going to do with this spanking new blog?  Well, each week once the season starts, I'll be doing 'Blog 'n Watch' entries on the show in East Coast Time.  Those will be quick jotted notes as I watch the show.  They'll cover the main show events, but not in all that much detail.  I'll explore various episode happenings in detail or things within an episode which I want to yap about in other entries.  If I find spoilers out on the Web, I'll post them here with a SPOILER entry header.  If I see news articles which I think may interest folks, you'll see them linked here.  If it's apparent that schedule changes will affect viewing times, we'll get the word out here.  Anything and everything 'Survivor' - both old and new... it'll be here!  As always, I love participation in the comments area, so jump on in!  :-)

  Welcome, Patti!  This is my first year of devoting blogs to specific shows -- 'Big Brother' was a trial run.  :-)  Last year on the message boards on AOL, Stephenie was a fan favorite, though few actually ranked her.  As the show goes along, maybe I'll ask weekly that readers rank them.  Who knows?  We have fresh territory here -- I'm up for a great season and hope everyone takes part in it all here!  :-)

  Okay...I went through all of your initial takes and rated them in 2 ways...#1 was a 1-10 rating on how much I liked them personally (just from what I know) and #2 was a 1-5 star (*****) rating on how I thought they would do on the show.  I'm curious Jackie...did you do this during the last Survivor?  I was wondering (if you did) how people rated Stephanie...I thought she was the best!  Curious in VA...Patti

  I just noticed something as I was going down the list though....look at all their names, they all read like something out of a Romance novel or from a Soap Opera LOL!!  No Sam Jones or Bob Millers or Barbara Smith's there...love the names LOL
