Travel by taxi 25 miles to Lucea, 50 onions, chop up then a chef will hand them the clue.
Kelly fussing. They're first and she's fussing. Ron says it isn't the time to worry about the relationship. Ah, Ron tells the taxi not to help the next team.
Taxi people, "So you want to cheat?"
Now Romber there. R/K want them to stand there in the rain a long time. U/C now starting out -- no money, no belongings. U/C getting desperate... ask an ambulance for a ride. R/K lost. Romber found the Cool Breeze Onion Shack -- very hard to find in the dark, tiny sign.
"Kinda like a needle in a haystack of needles." -- Ron
U/C found a person to take them to the airport to beg.
3 Dives Jerk Shack is where they chop the 50 onions. Romber there... now R/K have shown. U/C offering to do cartwheels or dance a jig in the airport for money. Joyce is crying. :-(
Commercial. Rob was kind of funny while chopping the onions. Amber said she was no good at it. Rob told her that his parents used to lock him in the basement chopping onions to punish him. That made me smile. He was obviously joking.
Show back on... U consoling Joyce. Still begging. Romber and R/K still chopping onions. U/C have 40 bucks... getting taxi. Others still chopping onions. Romber has clue.
60 miles to Rose Hall resort to get next clue. Now R/K have done the onions and have clue. U/C still looking for the Cool Dive Onion Shack. Not giving up.
Romber to Rose Hall, with R/K on their heels. Both got clue about the same time. DETOUR - Pony Up - horseback swimming... hold onto horse tail around buoys. Tee it up - hit golf ball alternating - it's140 yards to a small area. Both Romber and R/K choose golf. UC finally find the Onion Shack.
Golf not going well. Beethoven's 9th playing in the background. U/C cutting onions. Romber done with golf.
Clue - Fly 800 miles to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Romber on way in taxi to airport. Kelly finally hit ball to spot. Romber getting refused to get the flight they want. Begging. Rob is very upset. Security issues -- they can't get on the flight, it's too late. Poor Romber. :::sniffle, sniffle, wah, wah::::
Lotsa commercials.
Airport. Romber way ticked off. They got a flight. 9:54 arrival. Now R/K at airport. Trying to get on same flight. Nope. Romber already in air. R/K 3 hours later. U/C done with onions. On way to Rose Hall.
Romber in San Juan. U/C to Detour... choose Tee It Up. Romber to clue -- drive 87 miles to abandoned sugar refinery, follow marked path to find next clue. R/K on 2nd flight. U/C still doing golf. Done.
Romber stuck in traffic. U/C finally on last plane. Romber to next clue... bunching point? Opens at 7:30! Maybe UC can make it???? I hope! R/K to clue. U/C to clue. Romber went to hotel. R/K in car. Now U/C are THERE! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Morning... all teams running. Marked path. Roadblock -- Ready to take a plunge? Jump off 30 foot bridge, swim 90 yards to clue, boat will take them back. Uchenna going. Ron going. Romber confused. Amber is supposed to go for them. Romber LOST. Ron in water. Uchenna in water. Ron has clue first. Uchenna has clue. Romber sees both boats taking Uchenna and Ron in. Aww... <g>
Commercial.
Now Amber finally on her way to bridge.
Clue - teams must end up flying to Miami final destination! Amber now in water. U/C and R//K already have the next clue. U/C in first. R/K second. Now Rob is carrying Amber trying to catch up as she has trouble running. It's a race to the airport with U/C and R/K. Romber passes R/K waiting at the toll bototh. Now U/C in last again. Ron takes wrong turn. All still racing to airport. Romber in airport. U/C in airport.
Romber hear first flight closed. R/K lost. R/K fussing at each other. 11:15... Romber. Uchenna trying to get same flight. Both teams looking for other options. Romber on 1st flight they just found. Uchenna and Joyce didn't make it to that flight. ARGH.
Commercial.
Back on... MAYBE... PILOT SAYS YES! Whhhooooohooo! U/C are on the same flight as Romber! "This sucks," Rob says. :-)
Miami -- Romber and U/C both take off quickly! Cab. Rickenbacker Causeway? Passway? (Sp) Race with U/C and Romber... R/K finally on a flight to Miami. Rob to clue. Little Havana where they search stores for a certain cigar shop. Next clue is there. U/C to clue. Romber seem lost. U/C to the CLUE!
Fort Lauderdale next destination. U/C in lead! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! Romber lost and their taxi left them! Music heightening! Veins are showing on Rob's forehead and he's praying to St. Anthony. U/C begging for money from cab window. ACK. Rob to clue. R/K just landed. U/C to the Bonnet House. U/C still trying for money for cabbie. They have money! They won't go in for the win until they pay the taxi. Romber going fast. ARGH
The tension!
U/C gave the money... cabbie is cool... RUNNING!
WHOOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOWOOHOOO!

The last leg of the race had to be rigged to allow U/C to get on the same flight with Rob and Amber. Think about it. There would have been no race in Miami if Rob and Amber had flown to Miami alone. Who had the most to gain by getting U/C on the plane? The producers. They needed a photo finish, or something at least close to it.
Obviously, the producers communicated with the airport (and all previous airports) to let them know the Race would be filmed there. Is it a stretch to think that someone at ABC (with a lot riding on the connections at the last airport) was watching to be sure two teams were on the same flight?
