The Show Must Go On...

I'm going to give this a shot with 'Amazing Race.'  What they do on the show is much more intense than many other shows, so this will be a bit rough and VERY basic.  It's gonna be more like quick notes than an actual blog.  It's a JOG - A JOTTED BLOG!

Jodphur (sp) India, the Pit Stop.  Uchenna/Joyce first to leave.  Fly to Istanbul, train to somewhere, tower next clue.  Romber and Ron/Kelly seek help from Sanju (sp), the native for directions.

Gretchen wants to win the race.

Uchenna/Joyce called a travel agent from a hotel.  They seem to have hooked up the same flight as Romber and R/K.  Now Meredith/Gretchen are also on the same flight.  BUNCH POINT.

Uchenna/Joyce are teaming up with Meredith/Gretchen.  Joyce says they're really good people. 

Rob:  "I am so over India."

Rob instigates by asking Gretchen if she got on the earlier flight to Turkey.  Now all are abuzz.  Now Uchenna has really found an earlier flight -- one does exist!  Romber wants rid of R/K.  Aw, R/K are fussing.  Or, she is.  Dump her, Ron!  And she wants to get married?  She wants to pressure him?  Icky poo.

U/C and G/M seemed to have picked up a few hours over R/K and Romber.  Now they are sneaky like Rob!  Heh.  Rob is knocking Uchenna and his group is already on a flight.  <snicker>  I hope there are no delays and U/C and G/M keep the two hours head start!

During this commercial break, I'll make a note I'm taping this, too.

Rob is confident that his group is in the lead.  Bwahaha!  U/C and G/M are now on the train.  Now to the ferry.  Now R/k and Romber arrive.  Heading to train and Romber ran to lose R/K.  Teams must find a gnome and bring it with them tothe Pit Stop to give to Phil.  Gnomes!  Roaming gnomes.  Travelocity gnomes.  If a team finds one with a plane on the bottom, when they get to the Pit Stop they win a trip.  Gretchen has a gnome.  Now Joyce.  Now to a tower for the next clue.  Romber has a pretty big lead on R/K. 

Detour - Columns or Kilos.  Columns looks complicated -- numbered columns, wells and grid maps.  Kilos - weigh people until they've weighed 2300 kilos.  Meredith named his gnome Jerome the Gnome.  Uchenna andJoyce weigh folks.  Gretchen and Meredith now to tower looking for the Detour clue.  Gretchen whining about time lost.  U/C doing great... got the 2500 K. 

Ten miles to a fortress for the next clue. 

G/M choose Kilos.  Rob just found out that two teams already took the ferry.  Heehee!  They still have a big lead on R/K.

Rob:  "What's a gnome?"

Now R/K on ferry.  Since Romber is now scrambling as they know U/C and G/M are ahead of them, they gotta haul it.  They know they're last... just found their gnome.

U/C to Roadblock - Is climbing your forte?  Climb a ladder top of tower, get a key, rappel down.  Uchenna did it.  He's now inside tower.  Looking for the key.  G/M looking for the man with scales.  U found key, ready to rappel.  Joyce happy HE is doing it.  He's loving it.  :-)

They got clue for Pit Stop.  Last team may be eliminated. 

1.  Uchenna and Joyce!  :-)  WOOHOO!  Gave Phil the gnome.  They did NOT have the plane.

Now M/G have scales and weighing folks.  M/G finished weighing.  Romber chooses Kilos, too.  R/K falling farther behind.  Lost on tower - just saw clue at the bottom... from the TOP.  Arguing.  Okay, I'm officially sick of her.  Shoo.

They chose COLUMNS.  Eek.  Amber is fussing a bit.  Now Romber is weighing.  Rob is organizing them pretty well.  Cool place for the columns.  Darn, it looks complicated.  I would have gone for weighing.  G/M found the Roadblock.  Gretchen is going to do the climbing.  Uh-oh!  Romber finish weighing.  R/K actually working together well in Columns, have clue.

Gretchen having trouble with the rope ladder and fussing.  She's fussing and moaning, but made it up.  Looking for the key.  She has it, now to rappel down.  That's actually easier.  She's enjoying that part more.  Now they have the clue for the Pit Stop.

2.  Meredith and Gretchen -- the gnome, please... no plane.

Romber to the climbing - Rob's doing it very well.  Now R/K are there.  They see Amber.  Rob up looking for key.  Ron climbing.  Rob has key.  Rob heading down.  He likes rappelling.  Ron up looking for key.  Rob has clue for Pit Stop.  Ron getting discouraged.

3.  Rob and Amber -- the gnome?  No plane.

Ron just found key. 

Pit Stop.

4.  NON-ELIMINATION.... money and belongings go to Phil.  Only clothes on back and passport.  Gnome?  PLANE.  $20,000 to spend on Travelocity.  Next 12 hours, they have a 1st Class Suite.

All teams still in the race.  This not spellchecked, sorry!  :-)
