The Show Must Go On...

Delayed by the President's news conference, 'Survivor: Palau' is now starting at 9 PM, ET.  Welcome to the 'Blog 'n Watch'!  I'm writing these notes as the show airs.  So while they're covering the basics, they're certainly not precise.  Nor spellchecked.  ;-)

Who will be voted out tonight?

Night 27 at Koror --
Stephenie confessional about how she wants to be there and can't trust folks.  Talks to Tom who claims Janu was going to go.  Gregg/Tom talking.  Now Gregg confessional, wanted Steph to go.

Day 28 at Ulong... okay, kidding... Koror --
Steph trying to talk to Katie about the Tom, Ian, Katie and Steph alliance.  Now talking to Tom.  She's scrambling.  Tom thinks she's very strong, but thinks she's going to have to go.  He claims he probably won't be far behind her.  Tom also is pleading his own case... says he was playing for the tribe, don't penalize him.

Ian, Tom, Jenn and Katie talk that Tom is a target.

Women alliance proposed.  Steph says they should talk to Caryn -- so far it's Jenn, Steph, Katie.  Saying as soon as Tom doesn't have immunity, he must go.  Ian settles in with them and conversation ends.  And commercial begins. 

Koror - Day 28:
The rewards you play for today involve eating and drinking, something something strategic thinking.  Tom hopes it's something or food from home.  Wallet $500 US... can take it or spend it.  Auction, bids start at $20.  Items are covered.

Item 1... Jenn $120 -- ice cream sundae with chocolate and cherries.
Item 2... Caryn/Steph split for $260 -- Jeff moves covered item aside and introduces another covered item offering a switch.  They switch - crackers and cheese for cheeseburger, fries and soda.
Item 3...  Ian $300 -  Offers a switch.  Ian stays with first choice.  Didn't buy a jar of live crabs.  Gregg had pitched in 20 for a bite... a plate of spaghetti.  (Jeff says Ian reeks)
Item 4... Cold beer, first $40 gets it.  Ian.
Item 5... Letters from home, one for each.  $220 to Tom.  He says he'll peek.  Tears.  His child's hand outline.  Jeff offers all the same deal - $220 for their letters.  Steph in tears.  Those who had enough bucks took the deal, I think.

Auction is over and commercial time.  [Whilein commercial, I ask you... how the heck could Constantine go and Scott stay in AI?  Yikes.]

Steph got like 12 letters from all family members.  More tears.  She says how much she wants to win and the letters give her all the food and energy she needs. 

Ian is taking a bath because of Jeff's comments.  Gregg does his back on request.  Jenn is giggling.  Katie is, too.  Ian says he's comfortable with his own sexuality.  Tom says he won't clean the back of Ian's neck.

Tom is talking about being a target again.  He says he has to bring in Caryn as a confidant.  Trying to convince her.  She seems to believe him.  Looking out for each other the best they can. 

Immunity Challenge--
Platform 20 feet from a grid with 35 tiles - five colors -- one color for each person -- toss coconuts to break their own tiles.  First one with all five broken wins.
Too confusing for a play by play -- gonna just give the results.  Steph sucks at this.  Ian is good, Gregg is good.  Many knock out tiles of others. 
Tom took out Ian's last tile and Ian wins Immunity.

Raining, thunder.  Tom thinks lots of tension and folks waiting for rain to break into groups.  Girls alliance talking.  Kate ready to jump ship and work with the numbers.  Katie loves Tom, says she has to write his name down or he'll win.  Caryn thinking of the Tom talk yesterday.  Goes to Tom.  Trust thing.  Tom brings it up.  She said she promised, so she's telling him.  He's wary of why she's giving the info.  He has to get with Ian to plan.

Ian thinks Caryn is scheming to protect herself.  Talking to Katie who's upset Caryn talked.  Ian and Katie true to each other.  She stands by taking out Tom.  Ian says it won't happen that way.  She's trying to convince him.  Ian says it's up in the air. 

Ian says Caryn and Steph need to go. 

Caryn is now worried as she thinks Ian told Katie.

Gregg wants Stephenie gone, deja vu all over again.

Steph planted the seeds against Tom.

Tribal Council --
30 days in... Jeff asks Ian about paranoia.  Asks Steph about how tribe made her feel after almost going last week.  Pries about how the group dynamics are changing.  Asks Tom if his playing strong was a plan.  Tom says he thought he wasn't going to stand out, but he revealed his hand as Koror needed to win over Ulong.  He'll live with the consequences.  Ian keeps his Immunity.
