Feeling Quiet
Hearing Air conditioning humming/cats purring
MJTV
Well, from the time I came home from work, it's been mostly MJTV. I don't want to talk about it. Okay, I'll say I hate to watch SUVs shadowed and filmed by helicopters. Been there, done that, deja vu all over again, etc. I want the next celebrity on trial to have his own private jet pack on his back, please. Thank you.
With the networks focusing on Jackson, it seems (though I didn't check back) that coverage usurped the new show 'The Scholar' which I had planned to watch. That one sounds like it could be interesting. But, as of the moment, I haven't a clue.
I watched 'Hell's Kitchen.' This is a show I'll watch, but if I miss it, so what? It reminds me of my first ill-fated "real" job when I was an underage teen. I was paid cash off the books and I was all of just shy of fifteen. It was one of those fried food roadside snack fast food places near a summer tourist area (Saratoga area, NY). I lasted all of a week. The boss was a large sweaty Italian guy who thought everyone spoke Italian. He yelled in Italian, gave instructions in Italian and can you guess who didn't speak Italian? Yup. Me.
The final straw came on about my fourth workday. I was making a strawberry shake and had accidentally put way too much milk in it. So, before I stuck it under the shake mixer thingee, I was going to pour a bit out. He came in the kitchen. I know those were Italian nasty words he screamed at me. He grabbed the shake cup from my hand. Now, I could have mentioned it was too full. But, nah. I backed away as he shoved it under the machine and strawberry shake coated the walls, the griddle, the floors and the ceilings. Oh. And then I quit. ;-)
Here's hoping to little Jackson coverage tomorrow...!
