The Show Must Go On...

Welcome to 'The Cut' Blog 'n Watch for the show date June 16.  These are rather basic notes jotted during the show.  Be warned that typos may exist as I don't spellcheck or proofread before slapping it online.  Oh... personal opinions may abound, too.  You've been warned!

Contestants meet up at a Teknicar place.  Two new Lincoln Navigators, the assignment is to design a car for a "young hip star" named Fabolous.  They have 36 hours.

Elizabeth and Chris C. choose the teams.  Vlada is picked, so to say, last.  Or more apt, not picked but settled on.

Tommy H. says he values and will judge on business acumen, creativity and social skills.  The ones chosen will take a limo to a  private jet and then go onto People's Choice Awards on the red carpet with 'Entertainment Tonight.'  One person from each team.  Whoever goes will not be judged on talent competition, but on social skills.  Tommy goes from one team, Shauna goes from the other.

Elizabeth's team is the Orange Team, the other is Blue.  Two people from each team now can go to a show by Fabolous.  They plan to scout for information on his as no one seems to know who he is.  Nor do I.  Wait, they do seem to know who he is.  I still don't.  Rims, tint.  Chris takes him aside and asks for information for this team.

"Hip hop isn't all ghetto fabulous, it's just Fabolus."

Blue Team has lost the car key.  Oy.  Four hours and a locksmith later, they had a key. 

Ewww... they're shopping for real furs for the interior.  Eww.  Crocodile and antelope.  Ewww.

Cut to Los Angelos where Tommay and Shauna are being told what to expect on the red carpet 

Back to NYC -- Jeff wants champagne in the car.  Jeff screws up a plexiglass thingee for it by getting glue all over.  They nix it.

Tommy doesn't know who Sheryl Crowe is.  Now, I know that one.  Shauna seems to be doing a more professional job.  But, hey... Tommy mainly went because he brought a tux.

Orange Team -- Elizabeth is fussing about the blonde (Mnnesota Beauty, forgot name) watching TV when the blonde says she was fixing it.  Elizabeth has a bad tone when she says, "I SO apologize."  I'm beginning to think of her as a female Jeff High Horse.  I can think of another word, but this is a G-Rated blog.  ;-)

Orange Team seems a bit more togther while Blue Team waits for James to finish a sewing job.

Horns beep - the work must stop.

Next morning -- teams are heading in for the meet.  Tommy H. brought Fabolous and "Flex"  (PunkMaster) who designs cars for hip hop stars.  They examine the cars.  Flex says he doesn't like the paisley headrests and he doesn't like the FUR.  Cool.  I think I like Flex.  Fabolus will announce his choice tonight.

"If I don't win, the world suffers for it." - Jeff.  Every time he opens his mouth, I dislike him more.  Can his ego fit in there with all the other designers in the world.  I think NOT.

Style Forum has arrived.  Tommy H. talks about the People's Choice Awards.  Tommy doesn't remember names.  Shauna remembers names.  Tommy fawned, Tommy failed.  Onto the Navigators.  Tommy H. brings up the key faux pas.  Cool, Tommy H. is knocking him.  Says the team was a mess... no organization, no leadership. 

Now Fabolus is coming out.  Orange Team - likes the closet, did NOT like the fur (yay)... he didn't like the pimped image.  Blue Team - likes more, lights, etc.  He votes for the Blue Team. 

Tommy H. puts Princess and Vlada on the hot seat questionwise as they didn't get the right info from Fabolous.  Tommy H. says Tommy failed, but he's lucky because two on his team failed more than he did.  He brings Princess and Vlada.  Sends Princess back because at least she showed some creativity.

"Vlada, you're out of style.  Take the runway please."
