Footprints in the Sand

Sneaking in an entry between work and picking up son3 and homework... Only one more day of school and the boys are off for three weeks. Yay! I am so tired of doing first grade homework, lol... Son3 doesn't mind and actually gets it done in about an hour and a half but I don't want to stop what I'm doing to do first grade homework... bad mom... Although I was talking to supervisor at work and what her daughter brings home for the whole week packet is what we get each night and they are both in the first grade but different districts... Tonight we just have to write a letter to Santa, go over the class math packet for the week and make corrections, read our four books we haven't read yet, timed reading words, study the spelling words and any other work she sends home we don't know about...

Work, bah hum bug... I realized our store manager is not about Christmas at all. We had our Christmas lunch on Tuesday and usually they decorate the break room with table cloths and such, nope not this year... The food was good but usually all the managers serve the associates, nope not this year... If you bring a dessert you are entered in a drawing, he tried to get out of it but other managers vetoed him, lol.... I have been moving the entire stockroom to finish up remodel, since most everything is on the floor, we don't need both stockrooms so I am merging them together. Old supervisor is back temporarily to help us clean up from remodel and then Christmas hitting and messy customers and associates not keeping up, so we have a ton of mismates to go through and signing and general processes to catch up on... So when we are presentable again then she can move on to her new position... We are having our department gift exchange tonight at 10pm... At Denny's I think... I dropped off my gift with the associate already so he will have it to open tonight... I forgot hubby gets off early tonight so I could have gone but did I mention it is at 10pm... That is past my bedtime even when I used to still be in my twenties, lol...

Son1 dropped by last night to borrow the vacuum and steam cleaner again... Guess Danny is messy... or son1... He never mentioned anything about the email... Did say however that girlfriend's friend and baby will be moving in with them... They had planned at the beginning of summer to all get a place together but  never did, well I guess friend's lease is up so she is staying with them til they find a place. I said great then she can help with some rent, but no I think he said she is looking for a different job, so I don't know... I also told him they have too many people for the apartment which he didn't know wasn't allowed so we shall see what happens... Meanwhile I have wrapped his and girlfriend's Christmas gifts...

I have also sent out the Christmas cards... We have almost the tree done decorating... This weekend I have to remember to take the ham out of the freezer to thaw so I can cook it next weekend... I think we are done shopping. I am waiting for one last online order to arrive... And then I still have alot of wrapping to do but I did pull out all the wrapping and ribbon and bows and found tons of boxes I had bought last year on sale and then I bought more this year at regular price....

I had more stuff to say but it is time to pick up son3 so this was the quick update version... I have had no time to journal and now tonight finally Smallville and Supernatural and CSI are all new again and Ghost Whisperer and Moonlight tomorrow night too.... Hopefully with the break from homework I can squeeze in some journaling....

  I so hear ya on the homework issue.  Aaron seems to get way too much.  There is math, spelling and reading every night plus extra stuff.  So this year we aren't getting much reading done and he is not growing in words as much as I would like to see him do.  Maybe the flash cards with the spelling words on them will help.  So glad the managers veto'd the one who didn't want to do the Xmas event that everyone likes.  That is so nice they are doing an exchange dinner party.  It always seems so much more festive to me when there are fun parties to go to at holiday time.  I like you have been waiting on the last mail order to arrive before I start wrapping and it came yesterday so now I have no excuses left.  You are way ahead of me as you pulled out your wrapping supplies and I still have to go drag mine out.  Love the graphics in this entry!!!!  Good job on getting all your cards out.  I am still doing a few last minute ones.  Hugs,

  ((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU))))))))))))))))))))I cant belive your exchange party is at 10?Thats late for me to.LOL.We are having our Stoor Christmas party next sat from 11 to 7.Than in the bakery,were having our own party,I think probllay the same day.It should be fun.I am in bed before,way before 10.LOL.Have a good day.
