Hearing something on TV...
This and That

That was a rare occasion for Kirby to sit so nicely so I could take his picture. Usually he is crawling inside your head to get as close as possible and be petted non stop, not to mention all the drool he leaves behind, I think he was a dog in another life...

It has been a slow, quiet day today... And I'm moving slowly to match... Need sun! It's been cold and gray. I need motivation... We got up early but got breakfast late. I showered and dressed and hubby did also as he was off to work. I even got son2 showered and dressed but not son3, lol... He has promised me he will shower before bed. They only have one more week and it is back to school, we need to get back into routine... We were all on the computer all day yesterday although I did get the dishes and laundry done. However I have not gotten to the dishes today and son2 has brought me his laundry.

Son2 did a few chores today after getting a lecture from hubby and then he and son3 watched a movie and they have been back on computer games ever since. I however did get a letter written and a couple of bday cards made out to mail. And some other technical mail that had to be filled out and I updated the checkbook and found that it did have money in it after all the holiday shopping and house payment but not that I have balanced it yet... I also made a list of thank you's to make out for our friends that gave us Christmas goodies.

Otherwise I have looked at my to do list and all the piles of Christmas all around me and gone Ho Hum... Where to start... I did fill the bird feeders yesterday as a bird crashed into the window next to my computer, he was fine, so guess he was just trying to get my attention, lol... Raisin is mad as he has been out of his favorite food for a few days. Mind you he has dry food and I have given him ham and chicken, but he refuses to eat until he gets his foil packed food... And I did vacuum the whole house yesterday and finished watching Stardust and then we watched Rush Hour 3.
To hear the theme song and see bits of Stardust<<<click here...
I just love the song and the whole movie, so cute....
Where the boys have been for two weeks... I brought them lunch yesterday, they are so spoiled... If you ask them when the last time they went outside or gotten dressed, they don't know, lol... That is why for New Years we are doing outside stuff....
For Christmas we got son3 a backpack that has a tent, sleeping bag, compass, flashlight, water bottle, bug net and magnifying glass all inside it... So last night we set it up and he slept in it in son2's room, lol.... So cute!
I've enclosed some pictures above, a few flowers still blooming, don't know how when some of the other bushes look to have frost bite... And the lemon tree has now ripened, all summer they were green???
I'm off to make mac and cheese and some corn dogs, don't know what the boys will eat but that is what I'm having, lol.... Neither of them like mac and cheese and son2 does not like corn dogs. He has a tv dinner that he picked out a week ago still waiting for him to eat it.... And son3 will probably have a corn dog or chimichanga....
Happy Journaling...

Catching up on all your latest entries. It looks like everyone had a wonderful Christmas in your house. Winter vacation from school is usually a lazy , hazy fun time to be sloppy. Here's to wishing you and your family a wonderful, loved filled New Years all the year long. (Hugs) Indigo

That's a neat tent. Looks like he was enjoying himself. Somtimes you just need to chill out for a day and do nothing much.
Happy New Year to you all

We had mac n cheese too today.... love the tent pictures and the computer for the boys... what a cute computer. Hoping it was a Christmas gift? I am amazed with how large the lemons are... they were like that too in Florida. So glad you got some downtime and sounds like we are both doing things like basics, checkbook, dishes, laundry. Now if I can get son1 to vacuum and my son 2 to fold towels and washcloths and daughter 3 to clean bathrooms. She does a pretty good job for only seven. Many hugs,
Lisa
