Footprints in the Sand

Thank you for all the special thoughts and prayers for Kirby.....

Kirby passed away around 5am this morning...

We did not think he would make it through the night...

However when hubby checked on him at 4am, he was still hanging on...

Poor son2 was the one who discovered him gone around 6am when he was getting ready for school...

We still don't know what happened to Kirby...

After reading all the comments I began to wonder if maybe Kirby did have some sort of infection and not that he had been injured... We still couldn't find anything in the garage that could have fallen on him unless he fell off of something.... One of the cats has been peeing and pooping all over the garage, but we thought it was the stray that I call Kirby's kitty, but now I am wondering if it was Kirby not making it to the litter box cause he was sick...

But when he and Raisin came in from outside Wednesday night, Kirby was perfectly fine...

So we don't know...

I do know that I miss my little hairy, drooly guy...

  So sorry to hear of Kirby's passing.  Losing a pet- family member- is difficult.

  I'm so very, very sorry.  I'm glad he didn't suffer too long, but it always so hard to lose one unexpectedly like that.
