Pancake Man...

This is Pancake Man... Son3 instructed me to make him last weekend. Hubby made pancakes again today, banana nut, but son3 had waffles, lol... The boys are watching Night at the Museum. However son2 has a list of chores to get done. That he hasn't started. He has still had a cold all week so has been in bed by 7pm and 8pm all week, so barely got homework done, never mind chores... However hubby also left him instructions, that's ok, he'll be home with hubby all day tomorrow while I am at work, good luck son2...

My new books came today.... I am still reading one of the assorted Christmas romance stories I got for Christmas... Almost done so I may read Bentley Little next, extremely spooky... Earlier today I watched Jane Austen, Northhanger Abbey, very good, while I was doing some mending and updating February bdays and such on the calendar. I may watch Mansfield Park later while I am folding laundry...

Last night me, son2 and son3 had pasta and meatballs and watched Meatballs, well actually son3 fell asleep but son2 loved the movie, it's a classic, lol.... "Hey Mickey!!" Son2 had a bit of a bad day at school yesterday... He lost his wallet again for like the tenth time, well not exactly but almost, hopefully it is in his PE locker like last time... The bad part about it is not the wallet but his student ID, he can't do anything without it and it costs five dollars each time he has to replace it... Then they are starting to divide lunch into two times to control lunch crowds and he wasn't able to get to where his backpack was locked up since he was at PE, his lunch was in his backpack.... Plus he broke his new sunglasses he got for his bday, but I think hubby will be able to fix them... Not to mention I had left him at the bus stop crying about Kirby, he's not afraid to express his emotions in front of his friends, even if he is 14...

It's very quiet without Kirby, even though he spent most of his time outside... He would have been fiveyears old in March... Can't believe it has been a whole five years since we rescued him from the neighborhood where most of his siblings did not survive... He was so loving though which is why he spent most of his time outside, lol.... When he was in he demanded to be right in your face, literally, demanding to be petted, forever, lol, while he drooled a river all over you like a St. Bernard... And if we did try to let him sleep in the house at night and close our bedroom doors then he would proceed to rip up the carpet trying to dig a hole under the door to get in... But he didn't mind being outside or in the garage. All his toys were in the garage and his cat tower and his various beds for sleeping.... And he was friends with all the cats in the neighborhood, they would all come calling to see if Kirby could play, lol.... I don't know how Raisin feels about it, he merely tolerated Kirby although we would catch him every so often bathing Kirby and then give him a swat just like a big brother... Raisin was the one who came to tell son2 to come out of his room and hubby said Raisin did say good bye to Kirby that night... Now when hubby replaces the weather stripping on the doors, they won't be ripped up by Kirby letting us know he wants to go outside or come in.... I can't count how many cats I had growing up, some who died, most that were given away due to moving and such, but Kirby and Raisin are the first cats that I have had for so long.... Kirby was five and Raisin will be 9yrs old this summer....

And of course I was back to work all week... I am trying to go back to the way of doing things before we went full self serve and try to just do my job and not try to do everything.... I have been concentrating on getting all the clearance shoes out all week, since it is buy one get 50%off plus I would like to get past winter and sell off all the winter shoes so we can set up all the spring/summer shoes.... And since I am way behind on opening boxes that has been my second priority, so since the ad carries over tomorrow I am just going to open boxes from 6am to 2pm and hope I make a big dent in the pile and then they will get more trucks and bring more and make a bigger pile, lol.... Meanwhile we have inventory coming in March and Easter, busy, busy, busy....

And son1........ He has been applying for jobs, he got his acceptance letter for unemployment, he has been hanging out with friend A and N and riding quads and got a ticket for riding them in the field where we went walking, he is coming over next week with Danny since they will be doing maintenance on the apartments, and he bought girlfriend diamond earrings for Valentines, hubby gave him what for on that one, did you catch the part where he lost his job.....

Better go find something for the boys for dinner before they eat all the snacks in the pantry....

Oh my kids would just love pancake man for dinner, lunch or breakfast!!! Too cute!! I can only imagine how you must all be feeling about losing Kirby. We lost a beautiful cat in Florida and have no idea what became of her. She disappeared right after Thanksgiving and we still miss her so much. And then the next two cats did not work out at all. When you have a cat as long as you had yours I can just totally understand how sad it is. Sonya lost one too recently.... I don't know if you read her journal. So sorry to hear about son1 losing the job but hope he gets another one quickly. They usually are resilient in the job market when they are young. Not as picky as we all are when we get older. Sounds like work is busy as ever. You and me both. I just want off the merry go round so I can get my office in order. LOL. And open the mail! LOL. Hugs,

I like Mr Pancake Man - how cute. Here's hoping Son #2 feels better and finds his wallet. Sorry about Kirby, that has to be so hard as they really become a family member.

Your pile of books vaguely resembles mine. Although I have 5 books ready to take with me on our upcoming road trip. The book I'm reading now, I'm almost done with. My motto is "one can never have too many unread books on hand." I love pancakes but can't stand the smell of them cooking in the house, so only have them when we eat breakfast out.
