No School Today!
Son2 is off on his snowboard/ski trip to Sierra Summit, for sure this time! It's going to be 51 degrees where he is going and 68 degrees here today. However we have been under a fog advisory but the fog has not been coming in til around 7am and they will be almost there by then... Hubby has gone back to bed after dropping him off but of course I am awake and getting a start on the day... No school today for Lincoln's bday, Yay!! So no having to get son3 up for school! So while he and hubby are sleeping, I can get in some computer time... lol... I have just fixed some hot chocolate, hazelnut...
I don't want to spend too much time on the computer though cause I really need to get out of the computer chair and to the kitchen table chair and work on Valentine cards and bday cards and bills and such and cleaning up paper piles... I was thinking since the kids were out of school that the mailman didn't come so thought I had an extra day but now I'm realizing he does come today that next Monday is the actual President's Day holiday which the boys also have no school... But still have to buy stamps too so everything will be in the mail for sure tomorrow....
I'm also hoping to get the taxes started today and give son3 a haircut... And son3 needs to sign his Valentine cards for his party on Thursday at school...
Yesterday work went so fast! It took from 6am til 12:30pm to take down the old ad and set up the new one... I did go to lunch around ten but the next associate took over while I was gone and then both of us to finish up... We were so busy, we kept having to help customers while setting up the ad... Of course we still didn't change out all the end caps to new items and there were alot of displays missing so we had extra signs, so we could have continued on all day, but it was just too busy.... And people make such a mess, I understand but yet I don't.... How can you just drop merchandise on the floor and just leave it there and then others just walking through it or kicking it out of their way to shop.... I was surprised that everyone I helped, I actually found what they were looking for and in their size.... I then spent the last hour in the back opening athletic boxes, another associate had come in by then....
I then came home to find the boys playing playstation 2 Transformers game and hubby in the backyard trimming trees... So after talking with hubby a bit I jumped on the computer, lol, while heating up the leftover teriyaki chicken and also fixing some turkey slices in gravy in case there was not enough chicken left and some mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, corn, green beans and chocolate pudding... We finished watching Underwaterworld Triology. It was very good and educational and of course we ad lib what the fish are saying and laughing away.... lol... Then hubby was watching Something Wicked This Way Comes and son2 was getting ready for his trip and son3 was on a computer game. He was so excited and amazed cause hubby had gotten him some new speakers and hooked the headset up, so son3 thought it was the coolest thing to wear the headset while playing his game... Then we all went to bed and we're all watching 100 Wackiest Moments in TV or something, lol, and then we were asleep and it was 5am and time to get son2 up for his trip....
So now I am off to work on a CD that is going in one of the Valentine Cards and check on a couple of journals and then get my butte on to other projects.....
The sun had come up but now the fog is rolling in....
Happy Journaling....

I never could understand how or why people would pick things up and then leave them in different areas or drop them on the floor and leave them. It was always frustrating to me. Later I mentioned it to my husband (now Mr Big X) and he said, he did it to provide job security for the poor saps working retail. Uhhh, that was me at the time!
