Hearing fans blowing...
Monday~Monday
Hubby is off at the dentist, his fourth visit and they are finally fixing the broken tooth... The boys are at school... I am having a quiet moment... Ahhhhhhhhh..... I was online looking for more ideas for the yard... bird baths, a metal table set, a swing, fountains, archways, just some thoughts... I was also looking for solar lighting for the yard for hubby's bday, he has been wanting them for a while.... they are so expensive but may have found some within reason and able to get two sets.... But for now how about an entry to update the happenings from the week...
Last Sunday was Mother's Day of course... I worked for a few hours in the morning, got my cards and such from the boys, hubby got Chicken from the deli with all the fixings and snacks and desserts and we watched Jeff Dunham.... Son1 dropped by about 6:30pm... I thought he was on his way home from work but he doesn't work weekends.... We chatted for a few minutes and then he had hubby out front discussing something not working on his car, car over revving and then he was online for an hour looking up solutions.... Me realizing he didn't actually stop by for Mother's Day but car troubles... And none of us brought up the issue with girlfriend and her needing to use the computer... So son1 told hubby he was bringing his car to a shop Monday morning just to get it checked out to confer problem... Meanwhile hubby was taking our car to get checked as it didn't pass smog on Monday morning too... Our car gets checked and $147 later we have a new gas cap, since the smog test detected a leak and diagnostic test confirmed and said leak is coming out the gas cap... So pay for diagnostic, re smog and gas cap.... $147... Ridiculous....
Meanwhile son1's car has been checked and mechanic said the same thing son1 thought was wrong with it, ok thanks son1 will get his own part and install it himself... So he goes to work... Hubby told him to come by after work and we will discuss helping to get the part since he is still new at his job and not getting paychecks just yet.... So son1 finally stops by at 8pm... By 9pm he and hubby have tracked down a part so they are off to buy it... Another $147... 10pm son1's friend comes over as his computer can set the car once part installed... 10:30pm me sleeping... Hubby said they were finally done just after midnight... Son1 apologizing for it being so late and thanking hubby for helping him get the part.... Son1 and friend did all the work of installing part....
Have we heard from son1 since... No.... Yesterday was girlfriend's bday... I sent her a card....
Only 16 actual school days left for son2 and son3... Son2 has his drum performance this Thursday night, Great America on the 24th for his Extreme Club, Wild Waters end of year party on June 6th and graduation on June 10th with June 11th being the last day of school... For his eight grade graduation they have to wear dress pants, shirt and tie with dress shoes, no sneakers... So went through hubby's closet and yay found pants, shirt, tie... The shoes are the problem... Son2 is used to wearing skate shoes and has a wide foot... I found nothing for him at my work as we carry very few men's dress shoes in wide, plus I am not paying alot of money as I'm sure it will be the only time he wears them... And by time he did need them again, I'm sure he will have grown... And then comes the question, what am I gonna wear, lol... I'm not big on dressing up either...
Son3 had a substitute most of last week... Monday regular homework, Tuesday no homework substitute forgot to send home, Wednesday two days worth of homework, Thursday regular homework.... This Thursday son3 has a field trip to the bowling alley, lol... On the 27th the K-2 are supposed to have a performance in the evening but haven't heard about it from his teacher... On the 28th he has Open House and we go every year in elementary grades but I really don't want to go this year, with all the drama we have been through... We see his class and teacher every week.... Then he is supposed to have water day one day at school and June 9th is S Games but have not heard about either of these events from his teacher so maybe they are for the older grades... Then June 11th is the last day of school....
Which brings us to June 12. My birthday! LOL.... so I'm working on June 9th so I can have three days off for my bday... the 12th-14th....
On May 10th I started taking St. John's Wort to discover my inner spirit of tranquility, that's what it says on the bottle, lol... I was just hoping it would take the edge off the stress I have been feeling of being woundd too tight and not being able to relax with my own self... I took it a few years ago but stopped when I realized I hadn't spoke in three days, lol... Well since that is exactly what I need right now at work, I thought that might be a good thing, the not talking... Complaining actually... The bottle says to take two, three times a day. I take one in the morning and it lasts til about 1pm... The first few days my head was quiet, so nice and I wasn't talking supervisor's ear off complaining about the department and such... and suggestions and just general talking about personal stuff and us not getting any work done.... It was funny cause by 1pm I was talking her ear off again and she would say, your stuff wore off... I was like crap, shut up, lol.. But I was feeling better and even in the evening I could sense myself wanting to hum a tune, feeling good... Til about five days in I guess I got use to the dose or maybe my hormones kicked in cause I was feeling on edge again... Even today being off from work and having my quiet moment, I'm not feeling jolly.... I just can't relax and enjoy the moment... Plus I'm tired... But I'm gonna keep taking it, maybe it takes a month to find your inner tranquility....
Of course work is stressful again... I can never get ahead... All last week since I was floor coverage I didn't open one box... I did get all the clearance cleaned up and stocked and priced, of course from the weekend it is a mess again... And I got alot of mismates cleaned out from the stockroom... Now next week we have floor coverage again so I will get boxes open... but it is always one step forward five steps back...
I'm pretty sure hubby got his vacation approved however now we are supposed to be having some big thing in our store with other managers and our department is the 15th of June... My vacation is the 22nd, hope we are done by then... I'm not sure exactly what they are doing so will have to let you know as it gets closer.... Just that either me or the supervisor has to be there...
I finished reading Duma Key by Stephen King... It was really good! Better than some of the ones he has released lately... Although everything still relates to his accident he had in some way.... I am now starting The Faery Reel Tales from the Twilight Realm, a collection of short stories and poems...
Movies we have seen: Silverado, very good; Shrooms, not good; Fingerprints, so slow and left some things unexplained and not good; Mad Money, not great but not bad either, son3 liked it, I really liked the end; son2 saw Dan in Real Life, he thought it was a comedy but it was more serious but he said it was ok; StarDust, my new favorite movie and I think that was it... We still are trying to finish up all the tv shows, think this is the last week of everything that didn't finish last week....
I think that was everything in the week... Sorry if a bit long... I'm on the computer every day but just can't seem to write lately... But then the boys have been so demanding, think that is part of my on edge... They are not usually so demanding, maybe son3 has just entered a new phase...
Ok I am off to throw some laundry around and unfill/fill the dishwasher before hubby gets back and here I still sit, lol....
Happy Journaling....

Sounds like things are busy and exciting over there!! I am looking forward to summer and no more homework. The kids can hardly open a book over here. I am all ready tired of baseball season too... I see you have some events going on too. So nice to take three days off for your birthday!!! I have tried that St Johns before too but life was so stressful at the time it did not even affect me one iota that I could tell. LOL I cannot see me not talking for three days LOL. So glad you found some solar lights. I want outdoor lights too. We have some here but they are in very bad shape. Some are missing their caps and some are always falling over. One of these days I hope we get some new ones. Hugs,

Our son is still getting his tooth worked on. Seems like a long process. We love our solar lights, they work well...they come in sets of two mostly where we buy ours....and they can get costly. I tried St. John's Wort years ago ...it seemed to work, from what I remembered. Hope it helps your stress level.
Hugs and love...

I'm still trying to figure out where the last 6 months went to, it seems this year is flying by. I can't even think of lawn decorations, Ugh! It's frusterating. I would of loved to have been gardening all weekend but the weather is so cold it's insane for this time of year. Last month it was record breaking temps, now it's down into the lower 30's at night and barely up to the mid 50's in the day. Sorry Son 1 was absorbed in his car and neglected to remember Mother's Day. (Hugs) Indigo

I'm now thinking "should I TRY SDt Jphn's Wart?" ... I've been just a wee bit testy when driving everyone around town.
Sorry that Son1 forgot Mother's Day. I thought my two boys forgot but, several days later I saw they had sent text messages and voice mail messages that I somehow missed!
Have a good week
