Hearing fan, washer, simpsons...
Eleven more days of school....
We have survived the weekend, barely and are deep in another week of school and work.... Son2 had a wonderful time in Great America, I think he is still recovering though as I just found him in his bed asleep, lol... he has now moved to the couch... He has homework and chores to do but I am trying very hard not to remind him as that was our topic of conversation at the breakfast table yesterday... Everyone here relies too much on mom remembering and are not remembering things for themselves and it has gotten me in a big habit of telling everyone what to do and I need to stop so they can grow up to take care of themselves.... Son2 will be in high school next year and I shouldn't have to tell him to brush his teeth... should I????
Son2 has to build a balloon powered car by next Friday, he has known since this past Friday.... He was gone all day Saturday and let hubby know on Sunday... Hubby and the boys went to Walmart and found son2 some dress shoes, yay!! but they both forgot about the balloon car... I had also forgotten about the balloon car but that was cause I told son2 that his dad would help him... Monday we were all grumpy and tired and son2 got a lecture on chores, and that just cause he is getting a B or C in a class is not acceptable if he is not doing homework and getting zeros on the homework and A's on the tests.... and that when mom and dad call your name, it means come here, lol.... not yell what from the other end of the house.... we don't have many rules in our house but seems the boys can't follow the couple we do have.... So anyway after the movie we went to Target and when we got back in the car hubby found the paper for the balloon car that we had all forgot again... and yet who's project is this.... So Monday night after dinner, we forced son2 to think on the project, meanwhile hubby and I had each built a version of our own car in our minds and son2 was wanting us to share and yet he had no ideas of his own.... So finally hubby gave him a plastic tube, and I gave him a box that the bank checks come in and tinker toys and some balloons... and here we are Tuesday at 6pm and son2 has not done any homework, no car and no chores... I am not talking to him... He has to think on his own...
Work on Sunday was great cause I learned that I had misunderstood the visit and supervisor got to come back to the store to help us get ready.... I misunderstood this whole operation spring cleaning... The other store that supervisor was helping out at is having their visit for the deep cleaning.... We are just having a regular visit since the VIP will be in the area for the other store they will stop at our store too... Then our operation spring cleaning visit will be in July.... PHEW..... so yes we have alot of work to do especially after the holiday weekend we are tore up....
So Sunday I set the ad, finished the price changes and opened a ton of boxes... Today I talked to the supervisor on the plan of getting ready, cleaned and stocked two athletic tables, pulled all the clearance that I had marked to the clearance section in the stockroom, put away all the stock in the stockroom I had opened last week except for the kids, helped the supervisor order signing and print out processes so she can put them in a binder for the associates and talk to supervisor, lol.... Tomorrow finish putting away kids shoes in stockroom, set the ad, do a bit of stocking, work on mismates, that will take forever and if time left open boxes....
Got an email from son1 today, guess work isn't gay and boring anymore as he no longer does receiving and is now an assistant team leader and got a bit of a raise...
Son3 is counting the days til school is done... Got a call from the principal this time, on Friday as he threw just a little fit. She did say how she noticed how much he has matured since the beginning of the school year.... Then son3 got in a bit of trouble here yesterday as he spilled his dinner so sent for a time out and then he fell asleep all the way til this morning... I hate when they do that, lol... but he did wake before I left for work this morning so I was able to see him... But then today he forgot his homework folder and they are having a performance today at 6pm... However the teacher has sent home nothing home about it so I didn't know what time to have him there or what he needed to wear, plus it sprinkled all the way home from work and they are having it outside and there are big black clouds and the wind picked up again so we did not go.... But he is fine, he and son2 are eating dinner and watching TV... plus he sang me the songs from the performance of what he could remember, too cute... Then tomorrow is open house and I have three different papers with three different times, but hadn't planned on going to that either... This school year has not been very organized at all, and I don't know whether to blame the boys or the school or what.... I'm hoping next year is better....
So back to Monday, yes we were all grumpy on the holiday... We did sleep in til 8:30 and hubby made omelets for breakfast but then there was all the yelling at son2 and each other... that all started cause we had planned on going to the movies but son2 was just gonna sit around til we told him to get in the car... however then we would have to wait for him to get dressed and get ready cause he has no sense of wanting to get ready for stuff... so guess we should just start leaving him in the dust and maybe he'll get a clue... which I remember now it started cause son3 asked him for help on a computer game and like always son2 gets on the game and starts playing instead of showing son3 but in son2's mind he is helping... so son2 is grounded from computers til further notice and son3 is not allowed to ask for help and can only play games he knows or practice and learn the other games on his own... and it's hard punishing the boys as they continuously adapt... take away computers, they watch tv, take away tv, they read a book, take away books, they go to sleep... So we are finally all ready and go to the 1:10pm movie... It was GREAT!!!! Robert Downey Jr did a great job... We all loved it... you have to stay til after the credits as there is something at the end... and son2 says that Robert Downey Jr will be in the new Hulk movie as Iron Man that all sets up for the new Avenger Movie that comes out maybe 2010...
And then we went to Target so I could get a white board for the kitchen for my to do list and some greeting cards and a pool cover which they did not have.... Then we came home and hubby charbqued hamburgers with potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, chips, and curly fries... I was so full!... of course then there was the spilling by son3 and the balloon car with son2 and I went outside so I would stop talking, I could hear hubby doing all the talking to son2 while he was doing the dishes... by 9pm we were all in bed, hubby and I watched Two and a Half Men and Rules of Engagement from last week... I ate a Three Musketeer bar and then it was morning, don't even remember falling asleep...
Now I am off to fix leftovers for dinner, get the boys in the shower, not remind son2 of anything, he's a big boy now, the sink is still full of dishes and do a bit of laundry...
But only 11 more days of school and not so stressed out about work with hopes of getting lots done this week and the supervisor being there to help direct the other associates....
Happy Journaling....

did you watch Bones and CSI yet?
having boys is always so much fun, huh? I used to have to hogtie Chad to get him in the shower....NOT FUN. Sounds like work and boys and schedules kept you hopping earlier this week. I used to meet myself coming and going to and never could keep up with the papers telling where to be.

I think we have about eight days left of school and like your household, things are sounding about the same over here. LOL I loved the line in this entry that when I call your name it does not mean yell back from the other side of the house it means come here.... LOL LOL LOL I do that line all the time here at home LOL. I am cracking up about son 2 not being ready and thinking he is helping... this sounds so much like my two boys you just would not believe it. We could actually trade Nick and Aaron for your two and not even hardly notice the differences going on. LOL. The meal sounds so yummy for Memorial Day. I wonder if I would like those movies.... hmmmm they sound like movies my boys would love. They love action action action. Hugs,
