Family Circle Magazine Recognizes Stanley Home Products
Stanley Home Products was prominently mentioned in the November 8, 2005 issue of Family Circle Magazine. In an article titled, "Make Money at Home," author Jane Zarem extolled the benefits of selling products through home-party businesses. She is quoted as saying, "home party businesses are more popular than ever, and a fun way to earn extra cash."
Stanley was cited as the company through which home party selling was first introduced in 1938, a method which (according to the Direct Selling Association) generated about $10 billion in sales in 2003 & referred to again in a list of "10 Top Companies" on the article's first page.

Folic Acid Lowers Risk of Alzheimers Disease
Alzheimer s & Dementia: The Journal of the Alzheimer s Association July 2005;1(1)
This important study was based on nutritional and dietary information collected from 579 people, ages 60 and older that showed no sign of Alzheimer s disease. The subjects in the study were instructed to maintain specific records of food consumed during a typical week and indicated whether or not they were taking supplements that contained Folic Acid (Folate.) Researchers recorded this data over a period of 10 years.
During the 10-year period, 57 people (nearly 10% of the total group) developed Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers determined those people who were regularly getting at least 400 micrograms of Folic Acid (Folate) per day had 55% lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease than those who were consuming less than that amount. The researchers also concluded that most of the subjects were able to achieve a minimum of 400 micrograms (or more) by taking nutritional supplements containing Folic Acid.

Katrina
Our prayers go out to the victims of Katrina
Watch, dear Lord, with those who wake or watch or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Jesus Christ, rest your weary ones, bless your dying ones, soothe your suffering ones, shield your joyous ones, and all for your love’s sake. Amen.
