NOVEMBER CHALLENGE

I've been thinking about this today and thought it might make a great challenge for my J-land friends. I'm going to make at least one grateful or thankful statement in my journal every day. Then on Thanksgiving, I'm going to read that list of thankful things to my family and post them on the frig for the days when I'm not feeling so grateful.
Here's the challenge: Are your willing to do this with me? Will you send me at least one thing you are grateful for every day? If you send them, I will write them up for you and send them to you on the 23rd/24th in an e-mail so you can tell your family about your gratitude. This means we'd all have at least 21 things to show our gratitude on the day that America gives thanks.
How about it? Are you game? I know I've already told a couple of things today, but here's another: I am so thankful for answered prayer. I prayed for something specific for another and I heard that the prayer was answered! Woo-Hoo. The thanks go to God.
Be blessed today, my friends, I'm waiting to hear from you.

Well, gee, as you can see I have been out of the loop for a while. Today, I am grateful for AOL J land and the friends I have here. Every day I am grateful for my family. Every morning I am grateful for my sight -- to see my family and their smiling faces. Oh heck, even when they're frowning!
Nice idea. -
Hi Meg:
Love your post and your idea, we sometimes just don't stop and verbally give our thanks enough and then we get all caught up sitting around on our pity pots waiting for someone to come and save us. I'd like to join in. I'm thankful that at my darkest moment Grace stepped in and began to help me make a little more sense out of the sad feelings I was experiencing way back then, and Grace introduced me to a form of art I had put away so far that I forgot that I as a child used it to express all this gratitude that had stored up in me as emotions. Yep, I'm thankful for Grace filled Poetry, and for the Amazing Grace and patience God has with us when we get so caught up in our own stuff we don't listen very well to that still small voice within that's trying to get our attention. So to this higher power (we all refer to as God) I say Thank you for sending Grace into my life to help me find my way out of the dark and know what being a Truth seeker is.

I'll join in. I'm thankful that, as young as they are, my kids have an ability to understand that Dads make mistakes, and that they have the willingness to forgive.

This is such an awesome idea. If you don't mind me stealing your idea I would like to have my five year old do this in her little "journal" she uses to practice her schoolwork in.
I am most thankful for my salvation. How lucky am I to have a LORD who loves me enough to forgive me for my MANY MANY sins.
Awesome Idea! (I know I said twice)
