Subject: monday morning question
Time: 4:27:00 PM EST
Author:  fisherkristina

What were some activities from your childhood that make you smile?  For example: miniature golf, climbing trees, lying on your back looking up at the clouds,  staying out till the street lights came on, looking for four leaf clovers

My answer:  playing with my Crissy Doll, rolling down the hill in my front yard, going down the hill in a toboggan, going on "acorn hunts" with my brother and sisters, playing jacks, painting my fingernails pink

What's your answer?

Hmmmm, stopping at the corner store every Friday after school for "penny candy," looking at clouds, riding my bike all over my small town, playing with Barbie...lol...yep, we only had one Barbie doll in those days, and I had an original one.  Love you, Chris

We used to make camps and explore places that we weren't allowed to explore!!  Often getting ourselves into trouble but it was fun.  Cycling ~ I spent a lot of time on my bike either on my own, with friends or my family would go places on our bikes :o)

I know . . . I'm always a day late and a dollar short.  However I want to answer this one anyway.  One of my favorite memories is getting "lost' with my mom.  I loved to climg a great big tree with my best friend Becky; we would have our pillows and relax in the huge, double-sided crook of thre tree.  I was given 8 foreign dolls by my grandmother after she came home from the World's Fair in Brussles.  Wow!  That's 51 years ago and I am still collecting.  I must have over 200 dolls now.  I gave half of them to my daughter 20 years ago.  Oh, one more . . . my friend Becky and I used to play Peter Pan and Wendy in our linen closet.  We would shut the doors and take turns playing our then-favorite characters, as often as not fall asleep in there while our mothers were frantically looking for us.  Gosh, I should have written an entry!  Blessings to you, Krissy.  Love, Penny  http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/TimeforaLittlePoetry
