Subject: a new journal to visit - Rambling Woolysheep
Time: 1:35:00 AM EDT
Author:  fisherkristina

Please stop by Kristi's journal and say hello.

Kristi has an interesting blog.  She writes about "Urban Homesteading".  She does not live on a large piece of land, yet finds ways to manage this way of living.  Please click on the links in her sidebar to find out what Urban Homesteading is.

Currently, Kristi is raising chickens for eggs and is growing tomato plants.  She has encouraged me to grow tomato plants, even if it means growing them in flower pots on my patio (as my landlord may not allow me to grow them in the ground on the property).  I  just may take her up on this suggestion, as tomatos are very expensive!

Here is her journal:

Rambling Woolysheep

Let's stop by and make her feel welcome in JLand!

Krissy :)

Thanks for stopping by my journal.  We always grow tomatoes in ourgarden every year.  One plant seems to give so many, you don't need many plants, lol.

Krissy here's one for you to try.  If you plan to put out some tomatoes in containers on your patio.....this has been known to work, get a bag of potting soil, lay the bag down, cut a slit in the center of it and put your tomato plant in it to grow.  Just water it in the bag cut seem and enjoy.  Saw this years ago on the Regis and Kathy Show and was amazed how well they grew right out of the bag. Also had a neighbor in GA who grew them, plus green beans in large flower pots and they got a new crop of tomatoes and beans.  If you have a private patio with some ground area available, can't imagine your landlord not allowing you to plant some veggies, I'd ask him.  You and John have a great day.  Arlene (AJ)
