What is the most memorable activity you did with your family as a child?

My answer:  Walking the trails in parks.  We went to a lot of different parks as a child - National parks, local parks, you name it.  There was nothing so fun to me as taking a day on a weekend just to go to a park and follow one of those long trails to the end.  One of the reasons it was special was because the whole family came along (my parents and all six of us kids!).  Another reason it was special was because we were in nature and the surroundings were fascinating.

Now it is your turn.  Leave your answer in the Comments Section below.

My most memorable activity I did with my family as a child has to be all those car trips we made between Mancester, New Hampshire and Connecticut. My parents and all seven of us kids would pack into whatever car dad was driving, the one I remember most is an old baby blue lincoln continental. We'd take off on a Friday afternoon, and drive to Waterbury, CT to visit our grandparents. Looking back, I know it was because my grandpa had lung cancer, and my dad wanted to visit his dad as much as possible. Hours and hours I remember us on the road for a couple of years. I was the oldest in my family, so I remember. The worst of the drive took place in the summer, we didn't have air conditioning of course. But we'd stop along the road at a Dairy Queen and everyone would get one little treat, but it was our favorite part of the trip before arriving at our destination. bea

Heck I'm almost a week behind..but my most memorable activity done with the family was. Portaging w canoe's across 4 Canada Lakes in Upper Canada, you wouldn't believe how much those puppies weight at age 7. LOL. Sorry I'm late, but I guess that's what happens when thoughts pop into your mind at 4am in the morning A WEEK LATER :)

It was playing in the rain. When we were kids my Mom, Sister and I would get sand buckets and collect rain and splash each other. We'd run around in the first warm rain we had getting completely dreched. Then we'd go it, dry off, put on our pjs and climb onto Mom's bed for snacks and a movie. It was the best!
