My illustrious career as an illustrator may be over before it has begun

The rite of passage of an early childhood major: write and illustrate a children's book

I have written the text portion of my book.  I don't have problems with filling up pages upon pages with words. Don't you say anything.

My problem is in making the illustrations for my book.  I can draw stick figures but I want something more realistic.  I have the images all planned out in my head, in Technicolor.  Executing this plan is another story.

And it all needs to be totally done, pages sewn together, binding in place and jacket with cover art (and maybe a photo of the author with mini-biography) by April 24.  On which date I also must do a 15 minute author study oral presentation with props to the same class...I GO FIRST!

I'm not complaining about the privilege of being able to return to school and learn a new trade.  Please don't get me wrong.  I'm just freaking out because I am sorely lacking in the fine arts department.  And I'm such a perfectionist. :P
